What a brilliant (and a bit lucky) Wordle! I thought I lost a 50/50 for a 5: AROSE, THING, CLUMP, SILKY, SILLY. Later I realized that SISSY was also possible. All 3 words were on the original A-list (SHIVA was not but Tracy could still choose to use it; because we need more words). Perfect Connections! I got it without mistakes too (starting with blue). Very good Friday Mini! My time was 52 seconds. Excellent Strands I was lost at first. My first thought was the famous Eric Rosen quote "Oh no! My queen!". I have a knowldge gap in children's culture. I needed many random words before I saw the theme. I didn't even know how some of these words relate. But I took no hints. Good Hang Five! This was only my 5th try but I was lucky and lost only one heart (the S of course).
I was OK in Strands, but did not know UNDERPANTS and OBVIOUS. I watched Captain KANGAROO as a kid. Mr. GREEN JEANS was the friendly handyman on the show. I was happy being successful in Connections only making one mistake. It took me four tries to get SILLY in Wordle.
Not really, Andrea. The slushy snow has frozen over and we are now having more snow. It will be colder tomorrow and on Monday/Tuesday, the highs will be about 5 degrees. I am sure that you and Adam are used to this kind of weather. Also, you are often good about complimenting me whenever I do well in these games, Andrea, and you show the empathy when I have my bad days. Thank you. 😎
Well done on Wordle. I also got it in three : TIGER FINAL SILLY Strands : This has to be the most cryptic clue I've ever seen, I don't get it. When I found Crunch, I thought we were dealing with core exercises as it "Oh My, they cause me to throw up!" But once I found Obvious, then it became 'Obvious' as it were. My solve wasn't as fast as yours, but I did alright, without a hint. Captain Obvious, I'm not sure where that came from but it's another way of saying "You have a remarkable grasp for the obvious" There used to be a radio skit series called "Mr. Obvious" that used to run on the Bob and Tom Radio Show (which I like to call 'blue collar' humor). It featured Mr. Obvious having his own call in show and it was always the same caller who would call in, as if he had an audience of 1. Anyway, this caller would have life problems that had the most seemingly obvious solution and the humor came with "Mr. Obvious" (dubbed Mr. O by the caller) walking the caller through the solution, usually with laughable results. The skit always ended with the tag line "Mr. Obvious, you're a lifesaver". Those skits are a riot and you can easily find them on UA-cam. Mini Crossword, I had my fastest solve ever @ 28 seconds. I got stuck on nothing. I got the all the acrosses except Hasty right away and filling in the downs was so easy, I didn't even need to read the clues. I think this may be the first, and only, time I beat Oranje's time.
Tigerboy, "Captain Obvious" is a snarky phrase for pointing out an obvious remark, as you guessed. But it is also a humorous fictional character who appears in TV commercials for a certain online hotel booking company.
"What, am I lving in the 2000's!?" Wow! I just realized the 2000's were a quarter century ago. Dang! I've gotten older! I remember calculating how old I'll be in 2000. Now I'm nearly twice that age. DANG. I made the same call on connections. Barbs is more obscure. 😂

Good job on your games, Dora. If you were in Art's tournament for February, you would again be in the Top 10. I would continue to just be a bystander. I also got SILLY in Three. SISSY was previously the answer, perhaps even before Wordle became a craze.
