Father of love and light, in the serenity of this night, we come before you with humble hearts full of faith. With sincere confidence, we come to your presence to ask for your peace, that peace that only you can give us, so that our hearts and minds may find rest and we may sleep in peace.
Today we have gone through a day filled with many activities, which have demanded all our effort and attention. We have lived moments of intense work, of mixed emotions, of important decisions, and we have come home with thoughts that dance in our minds, making it difficult to find a moment of calm.
We know that in your infinite love and mercy, you know every corner of our being, every emotion that we have experienced, every tiredness that weighs us down, and that is why we come before you, Lord, seeking that refuge that only you can offer us. We ask you, with all our being, to help us let go of the worries that have accompanied this day. May you give us the grace to free our minds from all that troubles us, so that we may leave our thoughts in your hands and rest in your love.
