I saw in another video you can buy a maintenance kit by John Deere with fuel and oil’s filters, 2 spark plugs and the oil for around $40. For the Z335M the kit is LG276
I cringed when he put the oil filter on with a pair of channel locks. 30 years ago I had a filter that was so tight I had to drive a screw driver through the filter to break it loose. Someone tightened it with an oil filter wrench... totally unnecessary. They can be tightened to the point it bunches up the oil seal on the filter and cause a leak. Also, t can ruin the filter. Oil filters need only be hand tight.
this video made me cringe! Oil pan under mower would be easier! filter wrench from auto parts store simplifies filter removal! It did give me the general idea!

The best video so far for learning
thank you very much the video on how to change the oil helped me a lot
The filter only needs to be hand tight. Using that wrench could cause a pin hole in the filter or strip the threads underneath
Might have to try the milk jug idea, it seems to have a cleaner catch.
How many oil your put
Cat got your tongue bud?
Thank you!
Was the first of your oil containers partially full and you needed more or did you pore one and a half or so bottles of oil in the mower?
thanks so much
How many quarts?
