Jamalpur workshop is on 142 acres while this is on 190 acres. I guess he means big in terms of land area as Pakistan Railways don't have much locomotives.

Thanks Sir for showing C&W Repair workshop Lahore. My late Father started his career in British Railways from this workshop in 1942 to 1947. Am delighted to see this workshop where once upon a time my Father worked. Old memories are related to this workshop. Nice video Sir.

This is only big in terms of land area. Jamalpur workshop undertakes wide range of activities that it can't compared to this. The main reason for downfall of Pakistan Railways though it inherited most of old Indian Railways is because of early governments wanted to suppress the communists, socialists who had stronghold in railways both in India and Pakistan back in 50s to 80s.
