@@ssmit80 the struts are not supported very well, big issues with strut mounts.
I have a 1973 Super for sale. Fully restored.
@@Mrflash222006 Yeah. Back in the early 2000s' the '60s' models had a pretty fair market value, but that's gone by the way. Probably selling for a lot less nowadays.
the slo mo rust rings were pretty awesome. i was waiting for the whole back end to twist off like a jar lid during the engine stall torque testing :D
I had the first super beetle which was my last beetle. You are the sharpest mechanic I know.
Wow that was amazing ...thank you for sharing
Start of video: "salvage what you can"
End of video: functional car
That seems to be his M.O., doesn't it?
Well almost functional
In this episode, Mustie shows us how to steal an old car in the slowest, noisiest manner.
i got my first car, a 61 beetle with that slide sunroof going after extended storage in 1973 and it wasnt in much better shape than this.
drove it to highskool for a couple years. thanks for the fun video
What a ... new record!
Congratulations!! ... and the horses at the end are beautiful...
Thanks Mustie ready to start my normal Sunday morning Mustie video ritual.
We went from a Lamborghini to a super Beatle. What parallel universe am I in?
Wait it’s mustiest garage. I’m ok now!😜
David Helmuth That was just a Lamborghini shaped object, not a Lamborghini... This IS an authentic Volkswagen.
@@jenniferwhitewolf3784 This is true.
The British Ford Anglia could attain that level of rust in two years from new.
gotta love that British quality !!!
Sad but true. 1986/1987 British assembled Fords started rusting away 5 mins after leaving the factory. Usually resembled a pile of rust shavings after 3 or 4 years.
Hey Mustie. I really enjoy your videos. A few years back, I was helping a buddy work on restoring a 56 Chevy car that he bought. He took the factory 4 speed transmission out and was going to replace it with an automatic transmission and I just about cried. He ripped the classic right out that car.
You are totally amazing! I can't believe that car even runs AND DRIVES! LOL! Love your videos and I love Lilly as well. Keep them coming.
