I also know what it's like to have autism. When I was 17 I finally got the diagnosis autism. I was living in a home with 4 other people with other disabilities and we had supervisers/counselors that helped us prepare to live on our own and build our own household. There were a few of those supervisors who told me that I could never get my driver's license, but with the help of a good driving instructor (who was also a neighbor at that time) and my father and brother I proved otherwise 😊 . Now I'm 33 and I have my drivers license for over 10 years now and I'm so happy to be able to drive everywhere myself.
That is awesome. I am 17 and have Autism. I am getting ready to age out of foster care, but with the love and support of my foster parents and therspist's, I can achieve anything, and you can too. Autism is like a super power. It's tough because other people look at you differently. I get made fun of, people laugh at me 😔, but I always tell myself I'm unique in my own special way. I know this because I have autism as well. Kids with autism Isn't always happy all the time. They have a lot of mixed emotions. I recommend looking up Best Buddies International. It's non-profit organization that helps adults and kids that have autism. Happy National Autism Awareness Month. 💙💙💙

Maybe 1 thing all autistic people have in common is they can't make eye contact. For me its very difficult to look someone in the eye because it makes me feel uncomfortable. That is awesome. I am 17 and have Autism. I am getting ready to age out of foster care, but with the love and support of my foster parents and therspist's, I can achieve anything, and you can too.
Autism is like a super power. It's tough because other people look at you differently. I get made fun of, people laugh at me 😔, but I always tell myself I'm unique in my own special way. I know this because I have autism as well. Kids with autism Isn't always happy all the time. They have a lot of mixed emotions. I recommend looking up Best Buddies International. It's non-profit organization that helps adults and kids that have autism.

@@neondestruction5544 if you really wanna know what autism is you can befriend one. There are many different forms of autism and that is a difficult thing.
Maybe 1 thing all autistic people have in common is they can't make eye contact. For me its very difficult to look someone in the eye because it makes me feel uncomfortable.

When Katherine starts talking about her kid with autism just remind me of these two twin boys in my school who have autism but sing how her boy doesn’t really have any friends it just makes me feel bad because the people in my school with autism they have tons of friends in our school we are all trying to make sure they know they’re not different

I feel bad because there are 2 autistic twins in my year and they were abandoned by their parents. They then got adopted later on.

people dont understand how hard it is to cope when people make fun of autistic people. I have autism and I always am getting picked on or laughed at because 'I'm differant' and cause of that I dont have many friends and when I do I have trouble keeping them and I carnt start a conversation with somone or keep the conversation going so then I carnt make new friends and it's always dead awkward and anoying.
