What I really appreciate about Stallone is that until the last round where he defeats Ivan, the latter was shown either as a superior, stronger or more dangerous fighter than Rocky. That’s why this movie is a classic. This is what female centric superheroes don’t understand. Both Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman and even Rey Skywalker need a villain who is more dangerous than them until the last 15 minutes of the movie/trilogy where they defeat the villain eventually with one foot in the doorstep of death. But these women keep defeating villains so easily, there is no proper impact about their heroism in the minds of the audience.

you missed the part where Rocky made the victory speech at the end saying people can change. Basically admitting his wife was right. As he did it for nothing, instead will have brain damage and lost all their properties at home due to negligence.
@@marnol3806 In which way..does she support him...did nothing as far as his training was concerned...in Rocky III Creed was better at motivating him...and trained him all the way through...Adrian's role had been mostly passive...and here she outright tells him that he can't win..
@@uddamkumarrr Adrian actually gives him the key to winning against Drago here. She tells him he needs to change, while Rocky thinks it's impossible. In the end Rocky during his fight learns that to win he (and the USSR) needs to change "Maybe if I can change... we can all change".
