  • A very boring but useful tutorial video. I tried to make the video as short as possible just because the content is not the most exciting topic. Hopefully I delivered the msg clearly. Leave me a comment if you have any questions.

Of all the blind hem by hand tutorials on UA-cam, yours is by far the best one. Love how you hide the thread in the fold instead of leaving the thread exposed. And then picking up just a few threads for the blind stitch is easier the way you do it. Just did a pants and it works great. Have book marked your tutorial and will be using it for all of my future blind hems by hand. +++++++

Finally someone that actually knows what a true blind stitch is Great job THX for showing your knowledge & skill so many videos/people on here do not know & are teaching others shoddy sewing techniques no quality ; good/correct sewing is becoming a lost craft/skill

Thank you. You do not need the silly background music. You have a very pleasant voice.

I know right, the music makes the video seem dumb and childish, this is one of those overused non copyright songs that are in so many UA-cam videos. She should have used like slow piano music and make it really quite or no music at all

How do you catch 3 threads? What do you mean by that? Thanks

U only go thru a very small section (few threads) in the fabric, so that the thread isn't noticeable on outside. Just enough to secure it.

Looks like u only used a single thread to hem with. Using a double thread would make the hem last longer.

I never sewed or stitched anything before and my son always needs his pants hemmed but it can get so expensive..i felt a little discouraged to try to do it myself at first until i came across your video and I did it seamlessly..PROUD MOM MOMENT lol Thank you 🙏🏾

Thank you so much! I made such a beautiful hem. I used a single thread so the stitches are very discrete, but maybe Nancy Williams is right and a double thread will last longer? I don't know. In any case, thank you!

I agree! It muffles the soft voice so I couldn't follow very well despite the quality of the instructions.

Really? I have no idea what I'm doing either so I might just undo the stitching on the bottom of mine and unfold the folded part, then cut 2.5 inches off and then fold it back how it was and stitch it back how it was before I undid it. Is that a good idea? I'm sooooo confused. I'm also a man so I don't do this kind of stuff and I have to do it perfect because I will wear them to work and I like them to look perfect

Please help!! What do I do if the pants are tapered so the hem is a smaller diameter than the pant leg I am tacking the hem to? Should I cut I slit in the folded hem to widen it?
