You got 80 year old pianists with fingers faster than any fighting game player and the average age of fighter pilots is 45. The kids are better than you because their mom makes them meals while they play GG all day.
Those 80 year old pianists are actually only so good because they know the pieces so instinctively that reaction time doesn't even factor in to the performance. There's nothing to react to when when nothing is new. Similarly, there are certainly some situations in esports where reaction time becomes the limiting factor of one's gameplay, but usually that's because they didn't practice enough, or lost an rng/rps situation. So, while the theoretical best possible player might have an unthinkably fast reaction time, their skills would be so great that their reaction time could be as slow as a centenarian's and they would still dominate.

Younger players in fighting games are expected to win. But older players should be passing down fighting game wisdom to help the younger players grow further.
Like Mechanically? Sure I agree. My old ass has had more fun playing Virtua Fighter 5FS with my 1 character with 200 moves, same with Tekken7 or MB, Uniel, Skullgirls. I want my characters to have so much stuff to do in order for me to be interested. And holy shit, they replaced so much guilty gear with street fighter with the current Anji, so Strive is dead to me atm. But the boomer establishment "who are these people" mentality is quite bigoted imo.
it's not like it was all HC in top 8. The game has several very strong high dmg chars, and anyone that's gonna go 'hc won, proof he's too strong' look at who got second. if it was a nago youd say it's proof nago is strong but its a may so it just doesn't mean anything? come onnn. (to be clear I don't play this game, I find the dmg too high and I don't love the strength of some characters. but it still bugs me when people take away from people that win. not saying jiyuna did that, I'm talking about theoretical people lol)
You don't understand that HC is fundamentally a broken fighting game character. He hits you multiple times from distance even if he wiffs lol, it's like fighting against two characters but one is invisible, invincible, and always close enough to hit you while you try hit the normal character
i think its sad that a bunch of one year players made it to top 8. Thats how u know the game is easy. I wanted to see some veteran players in top 8 and was super disappointed. just my opinion.
@@Spider-ManFGC well really, it up to them to be up there. Saying a game is easy which is why new players are there isn’t much of an explanation for why experienced players can’t get up there. Unfortunately, unlike physical sports, fgc doesn’t necessarily require you to be healthy or in tip top condition to play, which is why currently, I don’t want it to be something like a job such as football (or part time job like rugby is for many professionals).
just turn your children into players for you train them in your ways so they bring in the fighting game dough
@@pian-0g445 hbox making that stupid decision to quit his engineering career job to focus on winning tournaments. covid happened so he cant make that money, but he did start making more content for his youtube stuff, so I guess he got lucky.
Who gives af if old players cant win or not, shit like this happens in actual fucking sports, theres always going to be someone that'll show t
You up, just be happy that a small community like the fgc is still running
Try that shit on Tom Brady
Congrats on the 8 years and the more to come!
I will forever get my gaming news at ANIMEILLUMINATI as we should communicate on every survey.
PS: please tell Daisuke to tone HC down a bit. You are the only influencer he listens to!
Winter patch is coming apparently.
13:36 "Umisho CLEARLY, is the Happy Chaos...the time, the effort, the grind"
me: the hair, the jacket, the fingers
Umisho is godlike.
Whens the Hotashi vs Latif video? The bets thing was... unfortunate but that was the most hype GGS set of all time.
Already recorded, should be up soon.
slash is my hero
what slash did with may was actually godlike, was really hoping he would win
Man He's right Guilty Gears such a garbage diaper baby game, I'm going to play a man's game like Tek-Man
Your kids can play it too!
it shows just by looking at twitch chat kids spam the sht out of copypasta and emotes
I'm almost 40 and I spam copypasta in chat.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI you are a man-child then
Jiyuna they cut you off from the archives, leff VS latif is lost to time, someone clip that before the zoomers forget
Cheers! 🍺

Everytime someone is defeated the announcer yells " *Slash* ".
Slash is a name of a musician.
10:40 Mad Grimy mixup.
10:50 Damn the disrespect.
I just notice Happy's has a T-Shirt is that a mod?
What would Slayer feel like in Strive?
-Will he be nerfed ?
(Given a new mechanic?)
-Or stay the same with less moves?
(Oh he'll be friends Nago and Happy).
Oh Lord Daisuke please nerf Happy Chaos or banish him to the Backyard realm?
Also played the very kusoge HnK fighting game.Did a few combos.
Still it's really broken as hell.
T-Shirt is not a mod. A few characters' alternate costumes add additional details or pieces.
His t-shirt is his last dlc colour pack option
Younger players in fighting games are expected to win. But older players should be passing down fighting game wisdom to help the younger players grow further.
There’s nothing to pass down, barrier of entry is at a all time low. Legacy skill means nothing
@@user-fe5bm6ot8o true
@@user-fe5bm6ot8o was about to say. I don't think much legacy knowledge applies to Strive
Only thing they’re passing down is complaints.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI yeah
baby game
Umisho is the first person to tell you HC is busted. Doesn't take anything away; you still need to be good to win with the character.
You don't understand that HC is fundamentally a broken fighting game character. He hits you multiple times from distance even if he wiffs lol, it's like fighting against two characters but one is invisible, invincible, and always close enough to hit you while you try hit the normal character
Honestly chaos is such a well written character that I can’t bring myself to dislike him in game
They should have kept him in Story mode!
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI and watch them bring in Elphelt instead 😏
i think its sad that a bunch of one year players made it to top 8. Thats how u know the game is easy. I wanted to see some veteran players in top 8 and was super disappointed. just my opinion.
It’s a new game.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI you're right just would've been cool to see some legacy players.
@@Spider-ManFGC well really, it up to them to be up there. Saying a game is easy which is why new players are there isn’t much of an explanation for why experienced players can’t get up there. It might just literally be because the game is so different from the older titles that they can’t perform as well. Who knows.
@@pian-0g445 or they just dont enjoy the game
If the issue was that the game is too easy then the old heads would be destroying everyone because they’d have solved it already lmao
The strive zoomers washed away the boomers
This is the worst comment section I’ve read in a while. It’s a bunch of “boomers” and “intellectuals” complaining about game they don’t even play. I’m not gonna lie and say that strive doesn’t have problems like damage and hc, but goddamn people are so doomer over this game and how it’s not “guilty gear” and it has no uniqueness. I guarantee most of these people don’t or can’t even do the shit they are crying about.
Simple doesn’t mean bad. The game still has lots of nuance. Not to mention it’s bringing lots of fresh eyes into the fgc. If you are mad about newcomers doing well, grow up honestly. Honestly the negativity is very disheartening
It’s illegal for younger players to begood at something. They should all be bad and the only people allowed to be good at games are the entire lineup of Evo 2002
the wall break is what killed Strive for me. always loved the older GG games tho so I sometimes go back to those games with the boys
havent missed this game once since I dropped it. really wanted to like it, but the gameplay is ass, not to mention the damage output is stupid
Umisho played out of their mind, jokes about HC aside
oh you want legacy skill to matter? Boomers to win? Wrong game. Play Tekken.
Knee is Tekken Boomer God.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI the way he played at EVO was phenomenal
not a single jp in top 8 :/
Only like 4 players went.
Damn right. Best damn kids game rn.
More melty!
There’s too many games to cover and play.
What game Obama ever win? If you put guns in most people hands and tell them shoot to win a war they'd still loose. Simplicity doesn't mean exclusive to kids. Easy games expose how many people do know meta
They/thems stay winning
actually glad this happens otherwise the fgc would die the fck out.
Yup, we need new players. Boomers need to understand this.
Poor slash
He still got 2nd at EVO. Something to be proud about.
We testing these kids for Adderall?
Strive is the Street Fighter IV of the GG series. And I love that!
Not at all, SF4 played a lot like SF2 aka q return to form, strive is 100% *NOT* that, Strive is more like the KOF13 where it looks really nice and a lot of the new players like it, but most of the people who played KOF before 12 and 13 didn't really like it because it didn't have the same feeling as the games prior (and even after)
@@notimeforcreativenamesjust3034
I disagree, I hated sf4 because it felt nothing like sf2. Wake up shoryu FADC and focus attack in neutral ruined it for me till they fixed it in ultra like 4 yrs later.
Lmao SFIV still was very much a legacy game. Strive is not
@JustSRK see, what you gotta do in -SF4- hold on, a wakeup shoryu FADC is just a DP that got canceled.
What you're supposed to do is FA the opponent - you gotta bait their FA with your own.
And if you don't like that, best not even pick up SF6. Lol
@@JustSRK0 dude they literally TOOK OUT moves from legacy characters to put it more in line with their SF2 counter parts.
Happy chaos is too fun to use. I hope he is busted forever. He needs some nerfs just to people complaign less. But I love this kind of break the rules character. Strive has already to many brainless super strong ones.
Strive is what it is but it still ain't Guilty Gear gawd dangit
I hate happy chaos
Yes.
By far the most disappointing EVO final
Sfv was simply too hype and strive was so late, everybody was tired
