I highly recommend you listen to his discography in order, it’s a amazing body of work. His first three albums especially are absolute classics
not to say that his later work isnt top notch as well, he has a 7 album run that is quite unmatched

Check out Kanye West Documentary,it was made 22 yrs ago but just came out this month on Netflix,the Video was made before he was known as a Rapper,while he was working on this Album and it shows how he made it

The lyric "Gone to November" is a nod to Wyclef Jean who is also worth a reaction (try "Gone to November," "Anything Can Happen," "Gunpowder," or "Apocalypse" ). Wyclef's group, Fugees, is also very good.
Curtis Mayfield is a giant of soul and early funk. Check out any and all of the soundtrack to "Superfly."

Hey, new subscriber here, his discography is great, but maybe check out a few of his songs before diving in full? just to have more context, I recommend Runaway(album version) for a beautiful piece of abstract pop rap. I recommend Ultralight Beams for a gorgeous innovative, deconstructed gospel piece, and I recommend Blood on The Leaves to hear a heartbreaking rap epic which samples a work you have recently reviewed, really enjoying your channel, keep up the good work!

What is it with people and having such a weird view of hip hop? It's usually older white dudes. At the risk of them coming up me for saying this, I'm genuinely convinced it's because they have a lot of racial prejudice in their heart and they view hiphop as some sort of "untermensch" music.
Well, I never expected to listen to Kanye. Not what I would usually listen to, but I guess this is well-done for its genre. (Kanye is a very, very unusual person, from what I can tell. It looks to me like he has, shall we say, major issues.)
Dawg rap can also be good and inspirational and you makeing fun of a person with illnesses is crazy for someone who's all too fancy for the genre

I mean, you can comment anything you want, I have channel comments set to allow all. My personal guideline (for myself) is the cliche "if you don't have something nice to say, hold your tongue and move along", but you can do whatever you wish.
