bro, next time long term investments ah pathi pesumbothu please help us understand how far the investments are holding up against inflation rates... as inflations would act on the investments with negative compounding effects, the 500rs investment p/m might look lucrative when it turns into 1.6L but it does not factor in the inflation which would eat up the value of 1.6L entirely and we only have protected the vale of money (assuming the inflation rate of india is 7.5%, which is true on a decade long average..)
for reference of how inflation works:
During the observation period from 1960 to 2021, the average inflation rate was 7.5% per year. Overall, the price increase was 7,704.85%. An item that cost 100 rupees in 1960 costs 7,804.85 rupees at the beginning of 2022. For September 2022, the year-over-year inflation rate was 6.5%.

One advice from my end. Ivanga video follow pandrathala adhula irunthu soldren. Neenga already EMI kattura aala iruntha, Unga EMI * 3 months amount ah first normal savings laye illa ec ah break pannura account layo save pannidunga. Because that is for emergency purpose. No matter what neenga adhula kai vaikka kudathu. And then adhukku aprama irukka amount ah neenga PPF la podunga.

Bro I need to clarify my doubts. You told that interest rate is calculated for every single quarters then interest will be change. Example if u invest 500 fr each month continuously then for Q1 interest rate will be calculated for 1500 then for Q2 is cal fr 3000 so on the principle amt will change.

Not good investment... we are investing 90000 total (500 per month) and getting 160000... inflation will be higher than this...we need to consider inflation also... if a chocolate is 9 rupees in 15 years it will be 20 rupees... if you invest 9 rupees by this method it will be 16 rupees... overall loss... but better than keeping in bank
