Cracking quality racing AND quality vid too , I usually watch your vids on my mobile , but tonight I watched it on the big tv and it was just like stepping into a Time Machine .. awesome and deep joy all round 😅 Thanks for that , really looking forward to next vid ✊ 👍🏴

@@davidmcmahon5234 I know right 👍 I recently on this channel watched my fav mare Time Charter ( 83 or 84 ) win the King George at Ascot and land the last leg of a 6 horse accumulator, only 10p trebles , 4 and 5 folds and an accumulator- was about £200 which was a fortune for me back then , I can remember , the weather , what I said to my dad when it was getting up on the line , the acrid smoky smell of the bookies when I went to pick it up and the night out I had with my mates that night .. it’s bizarre to have that level of recall for a horse race and its aftermath .. yet be unable to remember what I had for breakfast this morning 🤷♂️…. If someone does invent a real Time Machine , count me in ✊ 👍🏴
I remember this day so well. I had a fiver double on Trojan Fen and Sandy Island in the Ribblesdale later that afternoon. Sadly, Sandy Island spread a plate, ran on 3 shoes and was beaten a length. Luckily I backed Chief Singer so not all was lost.

Just watched the first race , I KNOW I’d have actually backed Trojan Fen as I have a grievance I can’t even remember against Cormorant wood AND Wassl .. 😅 I’m a Fanny 😆 I see O’Sullivan called for a photo finish when it was clearly half a length .. 🙄 Cracking vid , really enjoying this , cheers 🍻 👍🏴
Peter O'Sullivan still called Trojan Fen as the winner though, but I think at this time in racing when computers and digital imagery were not in use, anything up to half a length was officially a photo finish, even when you could tell anyway.

I’ve watched the 2nd race now , again , I couldn’t remember the winner but feel sure I’d have backed Legend of France - first beaten and won well by Carson on Morcon..😬 👍🏴
Enjoyed watching that, but it's noticeable how small the fields were compared to today and those first 4 races all ran to form with either the fav or 2nd favs winning. Commentators were better than today and so was the coverage. What have you used to improve them, Topaz or Vegas Pro possibly?

He like Remittance man , Was pure evil. Went to Sweden, ran in a muzzle and became their sprint champion. He was being ridden in a race the jockey was about to give him a crack , he turned his head and showed his teeth. He went on to win the race.

Imagine they had this, all class, with the iconinc dulcet voices and quality presentation, then decided the likes of Matt Chapman would improve it.. We had the Sport Of Kings and it was reduced by ITV via Ch4 to something, tacky and cheap, even vulgar by comparrison
Julian Wilson's father (Peter) was a sports reporter for the Daily Mirror & covered football and boxing in the era of Cassius Clay (Muhammed Ali)... he was a very good sports journalist. Julian was also an excellent racing journalist/correspondent.
