Those 4 entertainments are considered very big in korea

They are a five-member boy group but they have a lot of subunits and solo work as well. They are best known for their amazing live stages so I´ll recommend watching 2015 MAMA performance or G-Dragon's and TOP's MV Zutter. GD and TOP are both members of BIGBANG.

YG was always known for HipHop, they made it more popular. Especially after Bigbang debuted, it became more mainstream. Bigbang was the first group to have actual rappers, the first group to have a lot of creative freedom, and the first group to have all members have solo careers without having to leave the group. A few years after Bigbang debuted, more HipHop based groups began to debut, and they all included a low-toned rapper just like TOP. I suppose one can say SM is the standard of what a traditional idol group is like, especially when it comes to groups with many members. JYP is especially good at making girl groups.
