I haven't made a brand new Thomas video in a while because my old Mac computer broke down and I had to buy a new one. Also, the new computer didn't come with iMovie so I had to use a crappy generic video editor instead. So I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Also, I'm sorry for some of the pauses in between lines, quiet voice recording, and a few moments of earrape. I was just trying to learn how to use this stupid new software on my new computer. That's why I added English subtitles so that you can hear my quiet tone of voice. I'll try to improve next time, just be nice about it in the comment section below.
This video is about my thoughts on Big World! Big Adventures! as a whole. I do NOT own or endorse Thomas & Friends. It belongs to Mattel Television. Also, if there are any clips or still pics in this video, it automatically falls under fair use! NO MONEY HAS OR WILL BE MADE OFF OF THIS!!!!

Correction: What I meant by "white people doing stereotypical foreign accents," I REALLY meant certain accents such as Chinese, Indian, and African. Of course, I know there are lots of white people in foreign countries such as Italy, Germany, Russia, and Canada. But there are some Americans and British who could mimic those accents as well. Sorry if I offended some of my viewers.
Do you think it's just stupid sending away nia Rebecca and Emily for scrap I mean the only reason I'm going to do it is because they replaced Edward Henry and duck I don't know who replaced Toby but I'm going to scrap Nia and Rebecca and Emily I'm going to send these three characters away for scrap

If you want Thomas to narrate, do it as a flashback story.
As a whole, the BWBA reboot is a mix bag to me, too. It has its ups and downs. It won't be as good as the Railway Series, Classic Series, magazines, and annuals, but it's not as bad as the Sharon Miller era.
1:29 That and it also came right out of nowhere too, I mean, literally 20 seasons without it and then it suddenly appears in the 21st season & Journey Beyond Sodor
I respect your opinion throughout the video.
For me, I do like BWBA (as they still know the original style of Thomas & Friends, unlike the Barlow era), but I always prefer the original series that I grew up with from my childhood like the Classic Series, Season 8, and the Brenner era (S17 - 21), as well as the RWS and Annuals. There are some things I like about like Michael White (WhitehouseFilms) joining the writing team, more spotlight from the international characters like Rajiv, Raul, Yong Bao and Shane, the new intro theme, and Rebecca and Nia (but I mostly prefer Rebecca because she's so cute and adorable, and she's my favorite female character. And also, I don't mind that she and Molly have the same personality, because unlike Molly, Rebecca has a lot of wit in her, and can be relatable to anyone). For the new characters, I also like Darcy, Brenda, Gustavo, Stefano, Gabriella, Hong-Mei, and Dexter.
As for Edward, Henry and Toby not part of the Steam Team anymore, I know why most fans aren't pleased about this, but for me, I don't mind it, because ever since the Steam Team was formed in S8, Edward, Henry and Toby have been completely OOC (and sometimes in the Brenner era in a few episodes despite being back to normal). Another thing I'm fine with Edward and Henry moving out of Tidmouth Sheds is that they do need to get closer to their jobs (mostly Edward since he DOES have a branch line that starts from Wellsworth to Brendam. But for Henry, it's kinda confusing of why he moved to Vicarstown without explanation despite a few fan-stories. It feels like almost bridging the gap here).
Some things I don't like about this reboot: A few fantasy sequences being filler (like Number One Engine, Samson and the Fireworks, Gordon Gets the Giggles, What Rebecca Does, etc), though I do like some that are written well (like Chucklesome Trucks, Hunt the Truck, An Engine of Many Colors, Free the Roads, Heart of Gold, Deep Trouble, Forever and Ever, Confusion Without Delay, the list I think goes on depending of what I like). Another thing that bugs me is also the recolor of the international engines (in the background and when they speak).
Overall, BWBA is good, though nothing can ever beat the Classics that we all grew up with. And for Thomas, I never let go of it because without it, my life would never be the same. But one question, what are your thoughts about S24 coming soon?
I'm actually pretty excited for Season 24, but it's too bad that it's Jam Filled Entertainment's last season to animate. Hopefully the next animation studio will be as good as the last one!

Well, Edward, Henry, and Toby did have a share of some really terrible episodes such as "Edward and the Mail", "Henry and the Flagpole", "Toby Feels Left Out", "Big Belle", "Toby and the Whistling Woods", "Henry Gets it Wrong", "Edward Strikes Out", "Toby's New Whistle", and the worst of them all, "Henry's Magic Box". And I myself don't want episodes like these to be written like that ever again.
But I am glad that we are given great episodes with these three such as "Hunt the Car", "Old Reliable", "Heart of Hold", "Henry Gets the Express", "Henry Spots Trouble", "Henry in the Dark", "The Lost Puff" (despite Paxton being the main focus and that Toby was the recurring role), and "A Shed for Edward", with these episodes they served real purpose to the series.

I’d say the bouncing was more controlled in JBS and they were bouncing like, every 30 seconds while in BWBA it’s every second
12:25 James's in season 22 worked cause the story was him having a legit bad dream cause he worried what was going to happen to him. But that worked cause said episode was originally one of the season 21 episodes that was cancelled for BWBA. Glad they were able to make it work in BWBA and can work as season 21 episode.

Edward and Henry weren’t replaced. They’re still part of the steam team. They just live in a different shed. I mean, Toby is part of the steam team isn’t he? And how far away does he live from Tidmouth?

I think the BWBA Era could’ve been better with more old characters returning throughout it like Lady Fergus Arthur Murdoch Molly Neville Mighty Mac Dennis Proteus Freddie Jeremy Billy Hector Madge Colin Hank and Flora.

One thing that never made sense is how can BWBA be a reboot if that doesn't work because it is more likely a mix of source material continuing on from Season 21?
The characters (including Thomas, Edward, Henry, etc.) are still the same personalities as in the Classic era, Brenner was head writer until S23, Nia and Rebecca turned out to be likable characters as being introduced in a non-SJW way, and that the continuity is still consistent such as calling back to "Thomas and Gordon" or so on?
Secretly, I don't want there to be a reboot of Thomas & Friends AT ALL, unless if it's like the Adventure Begins, then that would be okay!
@@TrevortheTrainFan I acknowledge that. But BWBA was in the Thomas TV show category, so I never can call it a reboot unless if the main show is cancelled. 🙁
But the show was still going despite some changes. Speaking of the TV series' idea. Let me say that not all reboots are terrible: Danger Mouse 2015, TMNT 2012-2017, The Tom and Jerry Show and New Looney Tunes (2015-2018) are examples of good reboots. 🙂

Here's something they could've done to make this a lot better: Make the show about Thomas joining the Flying Scotsman on his world tours. There's historical accuracy behind this since FS did travel to America to bring attention to British Rails.
James A Williams RAGED when he watched Big World Big Adventures because of its lack of consistency, its cartoony animation, bullshit writing, and the fact that the movie had a very stupid ending and I agree with him because the Fat Controller left Sodor to search for Thomas, and that also means he's leaving a massive responsibility behind. Who's going to run the railway while he's away? Did he tell anyone about this? NO, he just said to himself that he was going to search for Thomas and Carly loaded him onto the ship, and that's it! So yeah, it shows how, before All Engines Go, the show was losing its consistency.
By the way I like your opinion on Darcy but I really wanted you will sometime get the cave collapse set
Sorry, but I'm not going to get every single Trackmaster [Revolution] set (esp. the one with Darcy) because:
1.They're too pricey.
2.The new Trackmaster isn't as good as the old Trackmaster (as well as Plarail).

Well I like big world Big Adventures and I like the bouncing to these engines they did that back in 2017 in Journey Beyond Sodor and I felt about same for every single character of Thomas and Friends is so cool I watched Heart of Gold and I really watch that Toby did a stunt because he doesn't even want to get the route I thought the episode is very cool and I like it how he stopped to Thieves for sealing king Godred's crown.

All seriousness though, I have mix feelings about this, one I like the idea of thomas going around the world, but here, it just feels like it was delving into generic kids tv shows, the bouncing isn't bad, but I much preferred the bouncing from Journey Beyond Sodor (not counting the bouncing from the trucks when they sang "who's thomas") as for Nia and Rebecca, passable, I used to hate them only because they replaced Edward and Henry, and no I'm not being sextist don't freak out, I do understand where you might be going with them, including Toby, but to me, I will always see Edward and Toby still as wise engine, and Henry who act like an older brother, much like Gordon, only nicer,, and yes I'm ignoring those out of character personalities they had before, those Edward, Henry, and Toby are imposters, personally, I would of kept them, but still added in Nia and Rebecca, that way, not only that would we still keep the old steam team, we also get two new characters, meaning that the steam team, no matter their, size, strength, age, or even gender, will always grow. Thou I would change a few things about them, for instance, I would of had Rebecca as like the female engine equivalent to Warrior from tugs or Hank from Theodore Tugboat, always willing to work but not the brightest type, as she would have to ask questions in order to understand. Im not sure what to do with Nia yet, but I'd assume I'd go with that she is eager to learn more but at the same time nervous that she might mess up, which her nervousness ends up causing her to mess up anyway, and like you said most of them are okay, except Ace, I hated him then, and I still hate him now, heck if BWBA had any antagonist, I would consider him the main antagonist, with the other racers just enjoying the thrills of racing having little to no involvement with Ace, Beau is one I like, just drop that joke on that scrap engine. The breakdown crane one, I would have had another engine bring one in to show that they've always had them in the first place. Dexter is also my favorite as I always liked the idea of reusing coaches for different purposes, and that's why I like "School of duck" my favorite, no I haven't seen all of the episodes, the new theme song, I don't mind, thomas being the narrator? One thing: heck no... I don't care if any other show has a main character as the narrator... but this is thomas the tank engine, if they wanted a character narrating the episodes, why could they have each of the controllers from their railway be one, seriously, Tugs has Captain Starr narrating, Theodore Tugboat has the Harbor Master as the narrator, and they are amazing in my opinion why not get Sir Topham hat, Mr. Percival, and Mr. Duncan narrating events that happened on their railway? (Yeah that's right I would love to see each of the controls narrating tales from their railway, it give more diversit than having one contoler narrate every story) and the dream sequences, I classify them as fever dreams or literally nightmares, (except Dexters Dream sequence, because like I mentioned, you can find some kind of creative use with a coaches, and also the ones you mentioned) the returning characters, especially Ms. Jenny, Seral, The Flying fricken Scotsman (no disrespect) and Sam, awesome 10/10. Overall I'm mixed on it, there are things I like, but there are things I don't like, but Overall a mixbag, but at least it did nothing wrong to harm my love for thomas and friends... at the time.
What I hate about BWBA was Mattel's overall intentions and attitude towards the fans.
I think JBS and Season 21 in my opinion was when T&F really went downhill.

So, Trevor, this is an unpopular opinion, but when it comes to bad Sodor episodes of BWBA like Apology Impossible, most people call it one of the worst episodes of the show or even the absolute worst. But for me, it just comes across as a run-of-the-mill crap episode. Yet, everyone treats it like it's a horrendous abomination and the staff at Mattel should be ashamed of themselves, all the while almost forgetting Middle Engine from Season 6, a much more mean spirited episode, and for what? Because its a Classic Era episode? You can't get mad at Mattel, Sharon Miller and HIT Entertainment, while singing Britt Allcroft and David Mitton's praises! If anything it makes some of the fans look hypocritical. Don't get me wrong, people do hate Middle Engine, but some people have admitted they liked it. Apology Impossible: Torn to shreads through and through, nothing good to say about it. Just listen to the way Taylor Z and James A. Williams commented about it! Characters have been butchered before and bad morals have been displayed. This is nothing new. I am not justifying it, I just want to tell you my opinion since you seem to be the right man for the job. I just want to know your opinion and if you agree or you have anything you would like to address.

I don’t understand this comment section. The original series gave wholesome stories from Awdry. This is just unrealistic and bad story writing. The changes are terrible. Edward and Henry getting written off was the signal that the show is ending. The bouncing will kill Christopher Awdry. Mattel is doing the worst job especially with the Royal Engine, BWBA and series 22+. I bet none of you know who the true Thomas The Tank Engine. These new characters are terrible . Mattel really shoved it up our rear by giving Nia and Rebecca as well as those new stupid never get to see again characters. UnluckyTug, Kyoryuzeo93 and Driver3joe are the only ones who actually admit that the show is ending. Those garbage episodes and toys can go burn in the absolute deep fires of hell

The Big World Big Adventures Era is pretty bad i mean it's the worst era of Thomas And Friends i would rather watch the last 4 eras such as Classic Era,Hit Entertainment Era,Sharon Miller Era and Andrew Brenner Era because they are way better
