I let people get to me and ended up doing things for my wedding I didn't want to do to appease them and it ended up being not the day I envisioned . I got married in Cairo..cost about £500 lol but was just the 2 of us..still married now 18 years later. I am also a florist and if you ever want to talk flowers I may be able to help you find easy budget ways to get nice flowers for a less amount...good luck on your savings and upcoming wedding. We got married in 2022 in a hotel and Spa. We had to pay for chair sashes, floral decorations, everything. Packages included a certain amount of daytime and evening guests for food and you could add more people if you wanted which was £50 pp❤

You definitely can get a dress cheaper than mine, and decor cheaper etc. With our rings we waited until the sales, my wedding ring is £1000 but we paid £375! ❤

I was married 25 yrs ago cost us £1200 reg office and a all day party in a function room with a buffet 😂 till this day all my family said its the best wedding they have been to 😂,my 47 now and divorced,but my daughter has just booked her wedding for may 2026 at a hotel I'm saving for her wedding dress now❤
Aww my mum has been married twice first time all the bells and whistles paid for by her parents second time no one invited just her and her partner and her mother gatecrashed it with my brother in tow 😂 she's divorced both of them and now with a new partner who she also plans to marry 💞 third time lucky hopefully 😂💞

Marriage is not about the wedding it's about the love you know I'm sure if you wake up and know 100 percent it's right and have no doubts then it's right.Talk to your partner is it what he wants or does he say it's up to you.He.needs to input in the day.Whatever you decide just enjoy the day i never stopped smiling . 32 years later and a renewal of fows on our 30th we would have still been married but he sadly passed away but I'm still married.❤
Hi thankyou for your comment. Going abroad isn't something I want to do. I'd like family to be there and most wouldn't be able to afford to join us for a ceromany abroad my father in law to be has stage 4 cancer so he wouldn't be able to come abroad either and although my partner is one of 5 by his mum he's his dad's only child. Of course we could just go abroad but again there are some very important family me members in our lives that we want to be present. Of course absolutely it's about the marriage I 100% agree and if I couldn't afford to get married without getting into debt I'd get married for as cheap as I could just me my partner and kids in our normal clothes at the registrary office with a few photos taken by the registrar / strangers. But I want family there and we have a big family my partner is one of 5 through his mum as previously mentioned and they are all close. Plus They all have partners too. I'm using a hotel mainly due to not having the man power to set up and take everything down due to not living close to family. And I have cerebal palsy which although I can walk very short distances it does effect me physically and I've lost my mobility twice in the last 3 years for at least a couple of months at a time. It's one day and some say don't spend such a large amount on on day but it is just one day in our lives. We would of been together just shy of 10 years by the time the wedding day comes around. We have a child together, he took on my two boys (one who has multiple additional needs) and we have bought a house. So some would say we have made a bigger commitment by having a child and buying a house. I work with the elderly and When I get old, or go into a care home as an elderly adult which due to my disability is more likely than the average person. All ill have is a box of belongings and my lifetime memories. I know I don't need to spend a huge amounts to have amazing memories of the day, I don't have to get married at all. but as I said I will not be getting into debt for it or asking for family members to foot the bill. So I don't really see an issue with how little or how much we spend and I have looked into an considered many options. My fiance has given me free rain, not because he doesn't want to get married. He wants it just as much as me trust me over the years we have spoke about it many many times and just never 'made the jump' because something else was a higher priority like getting out of debt, moving to an area where my child would get better support in his education which meant moving 2 hours from most of our family. Replacing cars because as a one car family and me having a physical disability living in a rural town it was essential. His input is happening i always ask him should we do this that or the other I'm not making the decisions solely on my own and he has mentioned a few things to me too that he has thought of. But the nitty and gritty of it like colours, theme, venue, ceromany venue he doesn't have a preffered preferance We could take my children on a lovely holiday and have a smaller wedding We could stay unmarried We could spend more than I can afford and get into debt We could not spend much at all. We could do many things and nothing is completely set in stone until I pay deposits and even then I could back out and just loose the deposit. Weddings are very controversial everyone has a preferable most have some sort of regrets some think it's a compete waste of time and money and that there is no point in marriage Some won't fully commit to a relationship until they are married and the amount spent is also controversial. Unfortunately throughout these videos as the weeks go on i wont please everyone. Whatever choice I make there will be people that disagree. I love my partner to death. More than I could ever explain in words. It will be an absolute honor whichever route we go down to make the final commitment in our story.
