I will try to go back and see what my level was. They did have me take synthroid while I was pregnant and that helped a lot. I didn’t believe I would ever have a baby but I did so I know it’s possible with prolactinoma. I have a friend that has one as well and she took her cabergoline during the first trimester as well as baby aspirin. I would ask about the synthroid maybe? I don’t have thyroid issues but because of the way the prolactinoma effects hormones it was like a balance for me. I felt wayyyy better after starting it. Good luck all I know how hard this all is.

Congratulations Rachel, I am so happy for u... I had two miscarriages now not until I went for a scan and it was discovered dat my prolactin is very high... i ve started using d drugs for a day now hope everything will go back to normal and get pregnant soon...

Thats amazing news. My partner has a prolactinoma and takes cabergoline, luckily it's not effected his fertility but i have read up a lot about prolactinomas and found mostly womens stuff and understand how difficult it is to conceive so this is absolutely fabulous news and wish you all the luck in the world going forward :) 3 kids is fab xx

Rachel Brady no it effects men too but not as much. He found out through me forcing him to go to the doctors because his behavior was not normal. Something wasn't right. I mean if you met him you'd think he was a regular guy but for me something just wasn't right. Then he was sleeping a lot, snapping a lot, used to be angry for no reason (like mens version of PMS) its like he had permenant PMS so he went to the docs finally where they did blood test and found higher than normal hormone levels so went for an MRI and there it was. It's a micro-prolactinoma so didn't have to have an Op. Hes been on carbagoline now for 6 years. It keeps the prolactinoma from growing and has brought his hormone levels back to normal x
My prolactin level is 8543, I'm taking cabergoline once a week
On my second day of taking bromocritine for High prolactin hoping to get pregnant soon

Does prolectinoma effect endometrial line??? I have no period for 3 months my prolectin is 138 and endometrial is 3mm i am 25 year old its not growing i have pcos also... Please reply 🙏

im going through this now and its upsetting. i havent gotten a period in a month and ive been taking bromocriotine every day. how long was it until your periods regulated? or how long until your periods came back. im seeing a team of doctors. i dont want kids now but in about five years or so i do and this is freaking me out.

I was told to take cabergoline for my prolactinoma twice a week, but since a week is 7 days, I worry I'm not taking it soon enough. When did you work out taking your meds? I was thinking Wed and then Sunday?
I take mine..Monday's and Thursday's
My prolactin level is 50.3
I am scared but my cycle is 35 days and i ovulate

My doctor also suggested me bromocriptine.. I started taking it from past two days you think I can get pregnant in this month itself.. Like it will work in 7-9 days (My ocitation)
I'm 23 have been diagnosed with high prolactin levels can I buy the medicine online. My insurance won't cover it! Been trying a year I will be 24 Mothers Day🤧
Hi there - sorry for slow response! That's a shame insurance won't cover it - it won't here either and the NHS only helps people who are infertile with their first two kids. We went private. I would be very very careful buying medicine online to be honest. It's a really difficult one, as I understand why you would do it. I happens quite quickly for most women who take it, like in the first month or two. I would seek medical advice from your doctor. Good luck! X
@@rachelbrady That is horrible. Prolatinomas can make you at risk for early onset osteoporosis! The NHS needs to change this policy! I would contact your elected officials.

What does it feel like to ovulate
Hi everyone, i would love to know how many times everyone got tested before they were able to get prescribed bromocriptine, also did everyone have to get a mri, and how long did it take for the whole process from finding out they had high prolactin to prescription. I’ve been waiting now over 8 months, obviously now with covid things are just crazy but still would love to hear anyone’s stories. I just can’t believe how long it’s taking.

Fuego thank you!! I managed to get 3 blood tests in total, unfortunately my prolactin came back within normal range last two blood tests. Not sure where we will go from here as my endocrinologist appointment has been cancelled. I have been taking vit b6 100g, vit e and Vitex and I seem to have ovulated last month or well At the very least I got a positive ovulation test. Not pregnant tho sadly! But my mood has improved loads, feel way more chilled. Who knows! It’s such a difficult time, I hope that our days will come! X
Hey Rachel I got my prolactin high(49ng/ml) ... I have no kids yet..is it helpful for conceiving if my prolactin level comes to normal range...my doctor suggested me for ivf should I go for ivf or not please answer..

Hi I started my bromocriptine yesterday and my nose was congested, like very blocked, and at night I had a serious heartburn... Did you experience these symptoms? And do they wear off or they'll remain there until I finish my medication
I also have these side effects because of bromocriptine

Sabiha Chowdury When prolactin levels are elevated, the body thinks it’s pregnant. So, one can’t get pregnant. Prolactin levels should be under 20. They (doctors) say medication can shrink or stop the growth of tumor.
