We absolutely love Panama, we are from the UK and in 3 weeks we will be there again for our 3rd visit. we are not rich and save up all year to go, but getting back to the islands and the people is very worth it.

This broke my heart. What language did the embara speak before the spanish invasion? What was their original spirituality? They are serving tilapia fish? Do they know where it comes from? Sad. Very sad indeed. And the corporate groups giving money for this "production" highly questionable. SAD

Yes, imagine a place where there is an identical group of people, then another with white skin arrives, and exploits the resources and people of those who were in their land, then another group of white people becomes interested in the territory exploited by the first whites and then they try to make a marine road in the middle of the land to join two seas, they fail so another third group of whites comes this time From the same continent, whose ideology is to control the area for their own benefit against the white groups from the other side of the Atlantic, so they brought cheap labor imported from China, Being the Afro-American race the most used, then a country and an area on the side of the canal are created under the domination of the whites of North America, so as you will see in a world like this, anyone becomes a racista, ahora veo a los latinos en Norteamérica y me doy cuenta que la diferencias siempre estará presente

One of the many problems no one addresses is the Panamanian currency. Although Panama has its own currency (the Balboa), however, Panama also uses the U.S. dollar. The Balboa to U.S. dollar exchange rate is 1-to-1, which doesn't make since when it comes to GDP. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Panama was worth 52.94 billion US dollars in 2020. Compare that to the U.S. GDP in 2020 at $20.93 trillion. So how did the 1-to-1 exchange rate balance off? Someone with subject matter expertise in economy explain this...I am not convinced that Panama is the best or most beneficial place to retire. Healthcare and medical services outside of Panama City is horrible. DO NOT expect hospitals outside of Panama City to have the same quality. Start asking what expats do not like about Panama...

Panama needs to undergo a serious beautification process and become more concerned with a beautification program. These poor guides are really struggling with the language except Juan Carlos. LOL

This was in 2015. At that time, the restoration of Casco Viejo and Panama Viejo was beginning. In almost 5 years we've made great progress, especially in the development of ecotourism in the countryside area. Now the focus is not only in the city and more people can benefit from tourism activity.

@@ZuryTheOnlyOne well, from what i see it's not enough. I hope the country continues to expand and stay current on beautifying the country and not just leave it up to selling out to Canadian businesses, who make it impossible for even it's citizens to live in better areas, homes.

Panama is not Central America. It’s historically South America and Culturally Caribbean. Economically we have trade deals with the South America.
