@Guest53 because he’s charged with 2 counts of first degree murder. You can read the court documents, this story has nothing to do with the murders of Sak and Juvy. Matter a fact both of them are in the video. The song came out 2 years before they got killed.

I would argue that the "Aks, Mac 11s, Glocks, and Nines" line is too broad to be used as evidence, as they are all common weapons and if you just picked up a random gun-related murder from a pile then it would likely be one of these guns as the murder weapon. But I'm not a lawyer, this is just my opinion, I don't know how it would legally pan out.
This was an earlier incident when he was young. He already served time for it. He did something else that is making him face the death penalty

I always interpreted "murder on my mind" as him reflecting on what he's done and replaying that scene over and over and over again in his head, almost to the point where he goes insane. "Tryna knock me off my grind" could be him saying that although he is innocent in terms of self-defense, haters are still trying to put him behind bars without the whole story. I get it though, with his gang affiliation, there is a lot of paranoia that probably surrounds him and envelopes his psyche. Maybe he thought he was in danger but it was a simple misunderstanding that ended in a tragic death. I am not defending him or supporting his decision to commit murder, but accidents do happen. I only hope to God, he did not have evil thoughts at the time.
He murders 2 people in cold blood, planned it out, even staged a drive by and shot their dead bodies and the car multiple times to make it look authentic, hes a fuckin psychopath, off to face to firing squad for him.

Folks that have no experience with street life quite literally live in a different world and fail to realize that a story like this song isn’t an admission of premeditated murder because someone snitched (although he DOES complain about snitches), but rather an illustration of the fact that they are, from sun up to sun down, under an immense amount of pressure and stress from having to constantly worry that those you call your family and friends may act right, as a front, but are actually plotting on you, and that you may find yourself in a position where you have to get the drop on them before they can kill you first. It’s a constant worry that some people legitimately have to endure, and it can keep you on edge and very susceptible to HUGE, but honest mistakes, such as mistakenly firing on someone that came up on you abruptly, but with no ill intentions. I’m not saying that was necessarily what happened in Melly’s particular case, but it is a real thing that can and does happen more often than you’d think, and the song simply illustrates that it’s just one of many worries that a person stuck in the streets has to constantly carry with them, everywhere they go
Just because you know it’s a real possibility that you may have to defend your own life one day, doesn’t mean that saying that out loud is a premeditated act
