- The last destination of our East Coast Road Trip, we made it to KEY WEST FLORIDA!
Here we explore the different bars and live music throughout Duval Street, find the best happy hour, and make it to the southernmost point in the continental US!
However, we park the van for three nights and stay in a hotel to relax and take a mini-vacation from van life!

I live in Key West! Thanks for visiting! We are having huge issues with lack of employees, we lost so may because of covid, so if your rooms aren’t cleaned right away, or if you have to wait a long time for drinks or food, we are sorry! We’re busier than ever running with less than half our normal work force....
We loved key west can’t wait to be back soon! Hopefully the lack of employees balances out soon!

US 1, Mile 0 in Key West the Southern most point in USA! Got another goal you may want to do, The Geographical Center of the lower 48! One other trip the we have completed was CA Hwy 49 from end to end! Gold was first discovered along that route! Enjoyed all 26 episodes and looking forward to your next journey West!

The Vanlife answer to the "how do I get my stuff into a hotel, or AirBNB or even into a laundromat" Is this. The less expensive answer is the Ikea shopping bag. Thy pack down to nothing, cost under a dollar, and are huge. Also super popular in the paddling world for lugging gear. If there is a chance you will get on a plane, or just want something nicer, the answer is the Patagoina Black hole duffel. Available in a ton of sizes, indestructible. awesome travel bags....

Stayed at the Reach, great hotel, and McConnell's pub on Duval had one of the top 3 Reuben Sandwiches I ever had in my life.

Glad to hear you threw that in there. The Ol' GSP or Green Stamp. Come on guys, drop some hints about the Turnpike. Thats a Great Road and I always liked driving it except where the truck lanes merge with the car lanes. Wrong time of day and your just sit-in in it. Do some vids about what Jersey has to offer. Especially upstate. Rte 23, Rte 209 and we all know those apples in the orchards around the start of October. How was that Hogfish? Never tried it. Is it like Grouper?

STELLAR Video Guys!! Yah, it did make me hungry, but at least I was prepared for that ( I'm learning, lol)! Our Route 1 goes right across the country from Vancouver Island to PEI on the East Coast, so not quite the same thing there....
Love Key Lime pie -- the word is 'Tart' btw, sounds like it was great!
Looking forward to your future travels -- as I sit here our overnight lows are forecast to hit - 9 C and we actually had a spot of snow the other day. "Lucky" me, the hot water heating in our building means I still have to leave my balcony door open about 6" overnight or it'll climb above 25 C before noon -- never need to turn on my heat until the temps drop below -12 or so.

The average Beer at Happy Hour ranges from $6-$9 and that does not include a variety of beers, that’s just the house beer. Australia is the 4th most expensive country in the world to live in. We pay a lot of tax and nearly everything is imported.

How mask crazy was the keys? I’m in Miami and was thinking about a keys getaway, but no way I’m going anywhere I have to wear a mask everywhere.
You have to wear it on Duval street, some bars are more strict than others. Irish Kevin’s I didn’t see one person with it on and it was packed as usual

Hey Laurie, we use credit card points and miles to fund our travels. We used to have a travel hacking course before the pandemic, maybe I’ll spin it back up if enough people would want it.

My boyfriend and I were really thinking about van life but found out a year and a half ago that he has stage 3 lung cancer and we are going through all the treatment now. He is done kemo and radiation but now a year of immunotherapy. And now an MRI of his brain to make sure it hasn't spread. 😕 Your adventure has gotten me through a lot of tough times. Thank you

I wish you guys copied Kara and Nate less... you copied them from their intro VoiceOver down to their logo. Being original has great value and you can just be you. Copying other youtubers (especially when they are very well known in the travel community) makes it hard to focus on your own uniqueness as all the stark comparisons are distracting and it just makes you come across as the Dollar Tree Kara and Nate. I look forward to watching you grow and be more you.
Hey Trini thanks for the comment! We don’t try to copy anyone, we watch a ton of travel UA-camrs as well. I think we get ideas from many of them and may incorporate them into our videos which I think is a great way to learn and enhance our videos with each episode.
