Pipes of the Sewers allow you to summon a horde of rats. You could easily transform them to venomous snakes or giant scorpions and release them into an area to cause chaos.
In a big battle, turn 130 units of your soldiers into elephants to stampede the enemy's flank. Even a well trained army will have trouble when all of the sudden their flank is bombarded by a team of well-synchronized elephants.
Imagining an elaborate jungle-gym type setup so you could stack targets vertically even more. If the nation never goes to war, no one ever finds out what those scaffolds are for.
Can you transform your allies into their original forms without breaking concentration? Or drop concentration on on a select number of allies? Like if someone wanted to use of of their spells in a situation, could the Druid turn them back to their original form without doing the same to everyone else affected by the spell?
I imagine because each individual can be transformed separately I would rule that this is acceptable (both dropping Wild Shape AND doing so individually). RAW does not specify, but seems like a reasonable ask.
Yeah this spell is yucky. One of my players wrote an archdruid into his circle backstory one time and when an enemy kingdom went on the offensive during a war he just called her to make their army unbeatable. Easiest wargame sized conflict ive ever ran, over in a matter of minutes
This is a non issue as the vast majority of 5e campaigns will never get close to 15th level, which is required for the druid to even contemplate taking this spell.
No stop. Within the first minute you saying it's an 8th level spell. I'm like ok done with the video, basically all higher level spells can "break the game" so... I'd be much more interested in unique ways to use low level spells since no one plays high level dnd.
Fair! We've got one for Animal Messenger and are going through the spell list alphabetically. So, sounds like "unique ways" to use the spell would be helpful. Is there anything else you'd like to see in these? We appreciate the feedback as we're still figuring out what is most helpful for folks 😄
@@DumbestDnDI like that you're planning on going through the spells but I'd suggest changing your approach to the title. I consider the current one "bait", but I think people are thirsty enough for content that the trick isn't necessary. I personally suggest making the video series something like "spell breakdowns and deep dives" because that's what it really feels like watching. I did come back and watch the whole thing.
@@Richinnameonly yeah, guilty of the bait. It's definitely something we've been discussing 😅 would you prefer one long video like this? Or broken into 2: one deep dive on RAW and history, one of the uses (standard, unique, chaotic) Thanks again, super helpful!
@@DumbestDnD if your going to do them in parts than I think the long format video is perfect for a dive into the mechanics and lore. And shorts would be perfect for like cool uses of the spell and those bait titles.

Had no idea Pipes of the Sewers was a thing. Might be a new favorite thing.
@DumbestDnD did it not get added in 5E? I remember them all the way back in AD&D.

[takes deep breath in rules lawyering] An elephant is a huge beast, so not able to do so without DM approval 😅
[cries in didn't watch the first 2 minutes of the video]

That's a fun scaffolding you've got set up there. What uh, what's it do? 😂
that is a fantastic idea.. i'm stealing that.
@@DumbestDnD General with a sad distant look in her eyes: hopefully, it does nothing.
Oof my players are almost lvl 15. Time for their enemies to recruit a lvl 15 Druid
128 creatures possibly, though I feel like the spell is intended to stop affecting a creature once it reverts to its true form.
RAW is definitely unclear in that regard. As an 8th-level spell, I'd let them keep doing it for the duration 😆

100 dragons.
RAW, not allowed, gotta be beasts!
