4:54-4:58 There technically wasn't an ACTUAL Jack-3 in T3,he was named GunJack, which don't ask me why they decided to do that. And yes if you get a perfect in Galaga you unlock Devil(Kazuya) at the start. And for unlocking Heihachi in this game, you have to complete arcade mode without losing a round I believe
Great video, as you say took us back loved playing as Nina, the graphics for mid 90`s is actually very good compared to Doom and Heretic, some of them slams are outlawed in Rugby League now but joking aside loved it took me back a very addictive game at the time
The problem with Michelle is she doesn't really have much characterisation. They give to Julia in Tekken 3 when she replaces Michelle. She's cool but she's probably the weakest character for story
@@ThatNukemGuy at least there's enough characterisation overall that you're able to distinguish between the better and less well written fighters! And i love this era of gaming graphics. It has that cursed, bowling alley CGI look
So the thing about the loading screen mini-games- The reason why it's not a thing in more games is because Namco actually patented the idea of playing games in your loading screen. So if any other developer tried to do it, they could get sued. Same thing with Shadow of Mordor and the Nemesis system. Mechanics like that can never be in any other game because WB patented the mechanic.
Quake and Hexen are on my mind atm. I'm debating how to approach them in a way that won't upset fans of those games; I'm not as well versed with them. They will get covered and played!
I find Tekken 1 is a bit more tactical due to the general slower pace and more awkward movement of most of the characters The PAL version in particular has a bit of input lag that means you have to be a bit more deliberate with your strategy sometimes

I always miss at least one in Galaga 😂

It was a great time back when it released!
I like how you describe some of the characters and then theres Michelle, "running with an axe..that's kinda dangerous" lol

Hey, I know this is totally unrelated, but have you ever planned to talk about Quake? It would be something very interesting to see on your Channel
