    Here is my challenge to you great dunkers....
    I'm still waiting to see a true "double-dunk" as the legend of Earl Manigault claims he did. And I don't care of Earl could actually do that dunk or not as I still want to see someone do it as described in the book "Double Dunk"....
    ....Earl supposedly dunked one-handed, caught the ball at the bottom of the net with the other hand, and brought the ball back up and around with TWO hands and dunked again. All of this was done in just one jump, with a net, and without hanging on the rim....
    AGAIN, I don't care if Earl could actually do that dunk or not so don't bother to reply to me disputing it because I DON"T CARE. I can close my eyes and imagine exactly what that dunk looks like and so I am still waiting to see someone dunk exactly like that description says. Come on guys, I know that somewhere on this planet of 8 BILLION people there is someone out there who is a genetic freak with enough hang-time and fast hands capable of doing exactly that if they just practice for it. If you post a video of it I guarantee there is plenty of fame and fortune waiting for you!

    • @DunkademicsOfficial
      @DunkademicsOfficial  10 місяців тому

      Jordan Kilganon did a double dunk, but without a net and one handed. I'm honestly not a huge fan of it. I'm sure somebody tall could do the version you're talking about, but probably wouldn't look that impressive

    • @CaneFu
      @CaneFu 10 місяців тому +1

      @@DunkademicsOfficial NO, HE DIDN'T, NOT EVEN CLOSE. I watched that video and he had someone on a ladder actually hold the ball on top of the rim while Jordan slapped it down into his other hand, it was joke of an attempt without a net. You really don't understand because what I described is on a whole different level and would be the most impressive dunk in history. And NO, a taller guy would not have the hang time to do a proper double dunk. There hasn't been anyone on the planet who has been able to accomplish this dunk in the UA-cam era or we would have seen a video of it by now.

    • @CaneFu
      @CaneFu 10 місяців тому +1

      @@evanvansickle7181 NO, HE DIDN'T. Gerald cut the net off the hoop and then hung on the rim with one hand while he dunked a second time with the other hand. Read my detailed description again of the true double dunk and then go back and watch Gerald Green and you'll see his attempt wasn't even close. The second dunk must be done TWO-HANDED without hanging on the rim. I can't say if Manigault was really able to accomplish that dunk or not but it is described in detail in the book about him and if anyone can accomplish that today they have yet to post a video of it on UA-cam. Doing a true double dunk with a net would take an incredible amount of hang time and really fast hands to bring the ball around for the second dunk.

    • @MK4DubsCustoms
      @MK4DubsCustoms 10 місяців тому

      @@CaneFu do you understand that if gerald green couldnt make it it means its almost not possible at all. i mean do you understand its a 6'7 freak that can touch the rim with his shoulder. Same for Kilganon. he touches the rim with his chin at 6'1 and has very very quick hands . everybody understands what you mean but i think you dont understand something that we actually do .

    • @CaneFu
      @CaneFu 10 місяців тому +1

      @@MK4DubsCustoms Are you changing your claim now? Earlier you posted that Gerald Green made this dunk but now you say it is impossible to do. Which is it? There were no video phones back in Earl Manigault's day but there are some credible witnesses such as Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Connie Hawkins. My point being that if it is possible no one today has posted a video of it yet. I really don't know if it's possible or not but I want to see pro dunkers try it in the manner that the book described the double dunk.
