Finally finished this, on my first attempt!!, it was difficult to get the details, should have used bigger paper, mine was 30x30cm, but I'm still very pleased with the way it turned out.
    Great Tutorial!!

This is probably the best origami tutorial I've seen for a semi complex model. I'm definitely going to attempt it.

@tadashimori well what really impressed me about your channel is the fact that you show people how to make projects like the origami fiery dragon, the leviathan, This here scorpion, and that Frog. Usually projects like these seem to be kept secret to your average folder like myself and usually for the public to look at and enjoy. It's kind of like a magician revealing some of the biggest tricks in magic

Thank you for the awesome tutorial! Each step was clearly shown, and your instructions were clear. I used regular printer paper, and although my result was no where near your scorpion, it did look like a scorpion which is really cool. I'd like to add, this is my first origami project ever, so I'm pleased it turned out like anything!
A couple of times I thought I had lost my entire project due to getting confused with the folds, but after re-watching the step a few more times I figured it out.

@MrCraigtkd1 You make the tissue foil, it's an tissue paper glued in an aluminum foil with spray glue.
It's really hard to find it, so it's better to make it yourself.

@Bigboss86100 Its just the paper and how carefully I make the details.
But also, you can use wrt folding with CMC glue to make the paper holds its shape.

some oftadashimoris models are simple especially if you consider the amount of detail u get (which is great) but the only problem is he uses alot of pleating which makes the model really thick a difficult to deal with ,but i still think hes a great creater.

    Thank you! Great tutorial.
I almost made it with the first try. Had to stop at the point where you fold the claws to the front and pull out the legs because the paper i use for test folding is too thick for this model.
It's actually not that difficult if you follow the instructions patiently. Next time i'll make it!

  • @tadashimori
    @tadashimori  14 років тому

@fabricofspacetime Well, Double Tissue might work cuz it's a very thin paper. But the model wont be rigid in the end so you can use a colourless nail enamel or a base to make it stronger. I used it in the scorpion in my video.

Awesome original scorpion model. I really like this model probably because I'm a Scorpio and its easy the origami violinist is very similar. I just thought like pointing that out. I remembered the steps really quickly I just hope that I would school material fast as origami. I hope to see more very cool videos in the future.

You don't have to draw it you just have to crease where he tells you to. Also the side you start with up with be the colour of the final model (meaning if you start with the colour side up the final model with be coloured).

Nice model. It was very nicely implemented and the extremely thin legs look just marvelous!
And it wasn't very structurally complicated either. Just a bunch of box pleated sinking and a couple of Elias stretches. To me, it was very straightforward, as super-complex models go.
Also, it wasn't hard to find the refs either. Overall, I think this is a great model, and the possibilities for detailing are endless.
    Keep folding!

to divide the paper into thirds you did not need to pinch the half you can crease it then the origami takes less time
