I absolutely LOVE this video!! I loved it the 1st time I saw and the 87th time or so. Your reactions were about like mine. When they get to the line "See how they shine" and Tim hits that note on "shine", I smiled almost as big as y'all did. Another thing I loved about the video is that visually the transitions were FLAWLESS!! Peter must have spent weeks on the computer editing that. But yes, vocally it was AMAZING! Keep 'em coming!!
Peter's a genius when it comes to layering tracks. Taking recordings of he and his partners singing and layering them in for background. He and Tim's voices blend so well together, also. If you listen to Misty Mountains, you'll see and hear Tim's octave range from this song to that one. Great reaction, you two.
Not sure how I missed it but just found your reaction to this awesome cover by Peter and Tim. Thank you. Now you need to react to Sound of Silence. Seriously. Then prepare yourselves for Misty Mountains. Love your reactions and can’t wait for these! Stay safe.
Wonderful reaction!! You should hear them do Sound of Silence, as Peter mentions in the ending... he also sings Amazing Grace with all of HF... that's beautiful too.
If you thought this was amazing, the second song that they recorded together that day was Greensleeves. This was amazing, but their version of Greensleeves is absolutely spectacular, and they did it all in one shot. Another other one he did with all of Home Free was amazing Grace. That one will send chills up and down you spine. Thank you both, for another fantastic reaction.
You should check out the collaborations that Peter, Tim and Chance have all done with @The Hound + The Fox as well. They are and exceptional husband and wife duo, and when you add these gentlemen into the mix, it’s fire!! Quick factoid, they are the couple in Home Free’s Thinking Out Loud/Let’s Get It On video, which I’d you haven’t seen yet, I highly recommend!
Just found your channel. Am really impressed. It's so good to see a young couple doing this together. I like your personalities, and the way you approach your reactions. Great reaction.
Nice Reaction! All the Bridges used for the video. I’m sings deep bass but ca also sing as high as Peter. Listen to their performance of Greensleeves!! Another incredible video!!!
Yes! Yes it was/is fantabulous! Yeah, when ya fell back in the chair and her last expression "... it was amazing!" (with the clinched fists) --- Yeah, again! Fully understand. They "pair" so well. Honestly - not knocking it though --- it could have been just as good without "all" of the layering, but it adds depth and pinpoints; yet with these two, I would have been fine with just a few highs & lows, or just middle harmony (background appropriate) ........ Just awesome!!! And, I'll add --- yes it is the BEST I have heard.
You need to watch Sound of Silence and also Greensleeves. Peter is amazing, and his voice is perfectly matched to Tim's. I get chills every time I listen to this, too.
These two do an amazing job (and I do mean AMAZING) on "Misty Mountains". Another Hollens video I recommend is "Hobbit's Drinking Medley" with Hank Green (great video editing). ... Guy
Did you notice all the different bridges in the shots/ Foot bridge,Highway bridge, trestle bridge. give a listen to the central park performance Bridge Over Trouble Water. you will not be disappointed. even if you don't react to it, enjoy it. that's where i'm going now to refresh my memory of it.fantastic. I think it's better then the studio version. live is always better with talent.
It's so well done, beautiful music, beautiful scenery... Tim's done four collaborations with Peter, and they are all excellent, as well as the versions of Amazing Grace and 19 You and Me that he did with all of Home Free, and they are all excellent. I'd love to see you react to them, or to most anything Peter has done, he makes wonderful music.
Take a look at Eynne Hollens Cinderella and Reflection from Disney's Mulan. The Cinderella one is sweet and Mulan one is great rendition. It is a version that it doesn't matter who listens to it will enjoy it.
Great reaction...I SI agree with you...to me this is the best cover of this song ever! The 2nd song Peter was talking about at the end is Green Sleeves and also Sound of Silence! If you want an awesome song just my Peter....I would suggest Circle Of Life...now that will give you goose bumps! Oh yeah I just hit the sub button too!
Great video. I am a subscriber to your channel and Peter Hollens' channel. I always go back for more on his channel because he has fun videos and his wife Evynne has great ones as well. Check her channel out. I am a subscriber to your channel because you have a great channel and you give honest opinions without judging people. Keep up the great work. You have a great channel.

I lost my breath! Actually gasped out loud and started crying! I think I died! Went to heaven!!!

Listen to Peter Hollen's, Greensleeves with Tim Foust. They did it in one take.

Really? That's pretty awesome. We will have to check that out
It was filmed on the beautiful Oregon coast where I live.
Their voices mesh so well. Misty Mountains is another great one these 2 did together.

My mom had the 45 record and played it over and over. She would have loved this, it's pretty "close", to the original. Thanks! ^_^

I loved this, however, I liked their version of Sound of Silence was even more amazing.
Yall should react to " Tim Foust from Home Free " Land of the free he wrote it himself
