It’s cool this show has the creepy anime shit and it’s actually portrayed as such. Guy’s got demons that aren’t the rote “mom left, dad died”. They’re ugly demons that make watching it hard sometimes, but all the more satisfying when he rises up to the challenge (heh heh). Loving the small steps they take toward redemption, no matter how much we all want that catharsis.

Nah, the threatening part was Rudeus trying to find the solution to his problem as instructed by Hitogami. Didn't work, so he didn't pursue it further. Even Pursena was left conflicted by it. However, the girls did have the fear during their captivity that somebody would step through that door and actually assault them. It's why they were so broken. No food, no water, no bathroom access, no sleep, and constant stress. Not even the sight of them changing got him going. However, remembering that the day after Sylphy had cured him got him to reek in homeroom to the point where both of them freaked out.
Just like season 1 the start is slow when it comes to character development and you get introduced to a lot of unknowns , but then everything slowly starts to unravel

A Similar story can be found in ancient China. Secondly, it was her half-brother being all passive-aggressive towards her, and also the guy behind all the assassination attempts, because you know, eliminating potential contenders for the throne. Normally, the queen's offspring would have more legitimate claims to the throne, not the ones from concubines. But then the queen can be demoted, killed, whatever, so that they all have a shot, typical dynastic crap (game of throne does a decent job with these court intrigue.)

I've been holding off watching this until the entire second season gets dubbed. I don't think so at all. It's more so the mcs. Subarus character tackles values alot more than mental health, and some people just aren't that interested in that type of stuff. I'd also say Re:Zero is a story while Mushoku Tensei is a journey if you get what I mean.
While Mushoku reads like a diary, ReZero reads like pushing through the hardships of life.

I've been holding off watching this until the entire second season gets dubbed. I LOVED season 1 But did I catch that right? we got a guy who is a professional heckler NAMED Heckler?........or take his entire name and it literally means angry soldier in dutch or germanic. Not very creative. I hear a lot of complaints about Season 2 right down to the quality of the animation not being half as good as season 1. God I hope it's not true. This is my Favorite Anime. I took a peek into a few of these Season 2 recaps to get a feel as to what to expect....i'm nervous.....
