As a kid my family had a chevy g20 which is now discontinued, the explorer is pretty much a modernized g20, even had the back bench that folded into a bed, though not motorized... really takes me back. Thanks for the memory trip, and good job, van looks great.
Excellent Van work. Agreed, the color is saweet! I recently purchased a 2013 2500 Express (6.0 Vortec) done by Sportsmobile with only 37,000 miles and not sure it was ever even camped in it is so clean. Looking forward to updating it a little.
You're right Jeremy the blue is sexy. I thought I wanted to paint my Ford gray then I saw this. I'm also glad you confirmed the color because in some shots it looks gray.
Do you have any 4x4 conversions without a lift? I've got a 2012 Express 4500 cutaway cab n chassis dually based project set up for work... I'd like 4wd for crap weather and farm use but to keep stock height (or very close to it), rims, and tires.
Dude thanks for the tip about the side doors. Had my express van for 2 years and have always wanted them to open further! What is the best way to get an estimate for what a 4x4 conversion would run?
@@jeremysworld10 Yes, it is actually an ALLISON 6 speed. My Express 3500 LT is a 2016 model. The tranny is actually manufactured at Allison. ... Later years had Allison's manufactured under license by GM. Those newer production versions are inferior and prone to failures. I count myself lucky to have a real Allison. It has operated flawlessly for over 76,000 miles. 👍✌

@@WeldtecDesigns get hp tuners and just change the gear ratio in the pcm menu. Less than 5 minutes worth of work
How about that new 6.6 does it compared to the Duramax 6.6 hands-down your best informative video To date
I don't think you can rally compare the 2.... maybe a video to come

Any chance of a DIY kit in the future?
That is a dream rig
It rides like a dream as well. Guess that's why they call it the Cadillac of vans.
Wondering what the mpg would be like after the lift kit
Does it show as a regular cheap passenger van on my personal property tax? Or will it show as a $100k ish van?
On our way to sanding from iowa!! Can I get a tour??
Sure. Come on by.
Impressive 👍
Thank you! We are stoked on how the build turned out.
What's the price ... Bottom line.
