Peregrine falcons are the fastest flying animals alive today! Have you ever seen one perform their "stoop" dive? Let us know what you want to learn about next! Our Patron's requests are made first! 👉 www.patreon.com/animalfactfiles
Have you ever walked into your back garden and seen a flurry of grey feathers and blood? Yeah, that happened a few years ago, a peregrine stooped a pigeon and I just so happened to walk out the back door as it landed. And it would just stand there, looking at me like "You alright, mate?" before taking its prey up onto a branch to start feasting. I can tell you, the adrenaline took HOURS to wear off.
This video is amazing! First one I found when looking for a video on Peregrine facts to help memorize info for educational programs. I'm training as a teacher naturalist and I have a program with our Peregrine on Monday that I'm shadowing. This is exactly what I was looking for!
Arctic tern, anyone? They migrate halfway around the world, from the Arctic to Antarctica, so theoretically they can be seen on every continent in the world, at least during migration!
