Hi Bestie! I hope this video inspires you to create blessing bags to give to people in need. I plan to do this. God bless you all. For crafting inspiration, watch this video next: ua-cam.com/video/M2Enr3GGhcE/v-deo.htmlsi=joNETDf45pdOKxNA 🥰🤗
Lisa, this is wonderful. I am part of a group in my area and we help the less fortunate year round. From the clothing donations, HABA items, bus tickets, etc. It fills my heart with joy each time that I can help someone. We as a group would speak with the local stores and food chains asking if they would like to help. For instance, one of the managers at a McDonald's allowed several people in need to come in, get cleaned up in the restroom, handed 3 of them coffee and breakfast. After they were done eating, they agreed to wipe all of the tables, seats and chairs for their meals. Our group kept in touch with the Manager for 6 months. It took two weeks of him helping the 3 out and he offered each of them a job. You Lisa, have a heart of gold and I for one want to thank you for gifting and giving your blessing bags to those in need. ❤️❤️❤️
I tell you who is really being neglected in our country is the elderly. They have worked their whole life. They have to choose medicine, heat or food. They are alone. They will not ask for help. These would also be great for them. May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
Your such a wonderful person, so glad I know you. This is a fabulous idea. ❤ I will make them in your name, blessings from Lisa and the heaven above.❤❤❤
Your heart is definitely in the right place ❤️. Some things I’ve learned not to include in blessing bags are anything containing alcohol (mouthwash, hand sanitizers), things hard to chew (many have dental issues), etc. But socks ate the #1 requested items! Thank you for your generosity, my friend.
Wow! What really nice gestures for those in need of necessities. I'm always saying 🙏 for the homeless people that they'll find shelters & warmth somewhere than being on the streets living in tents etc in hoping that they'll be answered. even though I'm on a low income budget, I still donate canned foods to goodwill charities & do my daily good deeds each day ☺. ----Amelia
In my city, located in SW Wisconsin, my elderly/disabled HUD apartment building is located on the Fox River. There's a walking path that runs around two bridges. I see 50-100 homeless each day, walking around or even fishing in the river. They use backpacks and duffel bags. If you have old ones from your children, or even yourself, fill them and hand them out. There are several camps in my city along the river. People often don't realize that many homeless have jobs - they just can't afford a place to live. Something else to consider handing out are bus tickets or passes, and subway tokens (if you have them in your area). Most Dollar Tree stores also carry different flavors of tuna packets - those are a great way to give protein, and are easy to pack. Hand lotion is also a good idea as the weather and living conditions create dry and chapped skin. Or get small containers of Vaseline that can fit in pockets. People hang gently used sweatshirts and jackets on a fence post where many of the homeless near me walk. They pin notes to them that say, "Are you cold? Take me, and feel a bit better." Sometimes, someone also writes, "There's a hug attached to this, I hope you feel the love. Everyone needs a hug sometimes." I'll see the coats and sweatshirts sometimes late at night when I take my service dog out before bed. It certainly warms my heart. I will be doing this as well if I ever end up with one that I don't need. Those much needed gifts are always gone by the time I take my dog out in the morning. Please don't skip the blankets, if you're willing to give them. I gave up my lap blanket (I'm in a wheelchair) to a gentlemen not long ago. It was bitter cold, and I was almost home from getting off the bus. I offered him my blanket, telling him I had another at home. He folded it a little, and wrapped it around him under his jacket. I cried as I rolled away. My legs were freezing really bad when I got home, but I had shelter, so I warmed up. I knew I had at least helped him be a little warmer.
Yes! We all need to be HOPE Dispensers!! I contribute to local food pantries and will be purchasing $10 food cards to Burger King, McDonalds, Wendys, etc to hand out to the homeless in my neighboring communities as well. God bless you my friend! 🥰❤
Lisa, what a wonderful way to start our holiday off! There are some that of course, are the same con artists on about every corner every day of the week. But, there are many that truly need this type of blessing! This is an awesome idea and so much that can be added too if desired. Chapstick, pack of Kleenex, individual packs of ibuprofen, cough drops , travel size toothbrush with toothpaste, small pack of baby wipes. I certainly will be participating in this challenge. Like everyone else feels, homelessness is a serious problem in our country and this a small way we can help. When at the grocery store, I look for elderly people in line and try and pay for their food when I can. While I’m on a fixed income too, I feel there are many senior citizens in much worse shape than me. Thank you for sharing this beautiful way we can make a difference in someone’s life. May God continue to Bless you and your family.
I agree! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas for these blessing bags! I love the idea of paying for groceries. You have such a tender and sweet heart Charlene!
I saw on lady on UA-cam who did blessing bags. A subscriber mentioned putting toiletries in a zip top bag so the fragrant items wouldn't affect the food items.
I just made a bag like this. You inspired me, thank you. What a great idea. Now it’s in the back of my car. Walking for the moment to give it to a person in need.
Crest has some packets of little “toothbrushes” that have a small amount of tooth gel and you can brush your teeth which would really be a help since dentist visits are probably few and far between. They’re only about 3” long and come 2 in a pack.
Wow! You are an inspiration to us all. The video was very touching and meaningful. I pray that we all find a way to spread love and kindness in this broken world. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.😃👍👍👍👍👍♥️🙏🙏🎇🥳
I learned a long time ago sometimes all I had was cash to give to people and I wondered whether they were going to drink or to use it for drugs and I learned that no matter what I give if I gave what the Glad heart that God would see it and bless me and if they took the money that I gave them for good and used it for something bad that's on them that would be their karma so even if you don't like giving money if that's all you have to give if you give it with a glad heart don't worry about it pray that God directs them to use it for good things

Thanks for sharing that tip, I'll definitely keep that in mind Wanda!
Great ideas. You could also add lip balm/ chapstick
That is a great idea! Thanks so much!
Besides or in place of the umbrella, rain ponchos not keep one dry, but they also help to hold in body heat. Just a thought.
Great idea! Thanks so much!
Great ideas
Thank you Michelle!

I couldn’t agree more! We just have to give and leave it with God. Great reminder!
