Accuracy testing results on the M90 from the range today. All were done with irons only. As an aside the WBP mags do not fit in my rifle. Not even close. Will require substantial modifying.

Ok, man. I see you love them, so I'll give you some info about the handrails. First, the "KULA" is a city in Serbia, but it has nothing to do with marking. "KULA" means "tower". Secondly, there is a lot of history in those two pieces of wood. Those marks are 100% from the war in Bosnia. Third, those two pieces of wood are not from the same rifle. The handwriting is different and the meaning of the two marks cannot be merged together. Also, the dark stain is only on the lower part of the hand holder. Let me explain. "KULA" was a camp for POW in Bosnia. Camp was held by Bosnian Serbs for captured Muslim soldiers from Bosnia. So, the best guess is that the upper part of the handrail could have belonged to the soldier who was camp guard. But, the lower part has a different story. "ALIĆ" is a surname very often used by Muslims from Bosnia. Now you can understand why those two parts can't go together. The other side of the story is the fact that no one would voluntarily hand over a rifle with his last name on it. So we can only guess the fate of that soldier. In those two pieces of wood you have a merged war history of the two sides. Best regards.

My interest in this one is adjustable gas from the factory. Would love to see that feature carried over to the 7.62x39 Zastava variants.

Personally this new gas system/custom piston is what turned me off of the gun. I wanted to KNS piston it.
@@Killjoy7581 Interesting. I’m more interested in a factory solution whenever possible. I also prefer 2-3 adjustments vs 20+. Mostly for suppressed and unsuppressed.

Kula was a centar for training of Special operation unit of Serbian Military nicknamed JSO.Its also a place where varius other special operations unit started training from the start of yugoslavian wars.Watched your moves you are quite good but in Serbia our drills are been done by constant close fire and shockbombs in our direction just to make it more realistic.ZPAP is awesome rifle but if you want even better surprise and more fun check out M92 Zastava and i promise you fun with M57 pistol
Brate moje, Rade ovde, this man is right, I have many m92’s and m85’s. 3 military kits, one built into UF and one into fixed stock. Than imported m92 pistol converted to and underfolder as well with original parts. Don’t get me started on the rest of the Yugos I got ;) M77’s, m90a/95’s (OG). M92 does not disappoint. Only thing I need to do is get get an m57 pistol that my dad carried and couldn’t bring to USA.

I don’t think any demilitarised kit come from Serbia. Most of those gun parts came from BiH and Cro,
KULA could be town or village anywhere in ex yugo.

I love the AK platform and own several but I was never in the market for a 556 Ak.... Until the ammo ban, then I HAD to have one. And the Zastava seemed perfect.
Yeah I feel you on that. I was wanting a 5.45 x 39, really bad and I’m just feeling like it ain’t gonna happen. This m90 looks great but at the same time some of the magazine stuff im seeing is making me hesitant. That steel mag on earlier release looked like complete dog crap.
Lol pretty much same exact thing for me… bought mine a couple weeks ago and now I got to start stocking up on 556 ammo🤣
At least I still have like 20 K rounds of the 762 and 10 K rounds of the 545…. Not as worried about the 762 supply but now I feel like I don’t wanna touch my 545 and want to save it like it’s the last beer on earth🤪
Another big attraction to me of the new M90 is that it has that 5.45 look. I missed out on the Veprs because money was tight at the time and American 5.45 AKs dont do it for me, but the Zastava scratches that itch.
I know this is a bit older, but I recently got an M90. You're the reason I own a Galil Ace in every caliber, a Zastava M90, M70, and a Fuller 102 build. Absolutely love 'em all. I ran into some unissued NOS Galil mags a while back, and bought a ton for my SAR. They run 100% out of my M90, after testing 350 rounds worth.

I did break in period on mine. Super gassy at first, but shoots so clean now. Got about 600 rnds through mine with no issues. Trigger felt a bit crunchy at first and plan to do an ALG but no complaints. Glad to see quality content on these.
I swear I'm the only person that likes the aesthetics of the furniture the M90 comes with.
Almost bought an ALG trigger for mine yesterday.
After watching you run yours with an ALG, that's going on my list right after I choose a new muzzle device.

I see alot of different alg ak triggers. Is yours the alg akt-e? I would like to get the same one that you have. Where did you get yours if you don't mind me asking.
@@foxman37 So there's only 2 there's the EL and the UL. The UL is the slightly more expensive, all you're getting is the nickel Teflon coating to make it a bit smoother. The EL is cheaper and honestly after some shooting will fill the exact same way.
I like the standard look from the factory.
Yea I did the way the hogue line kinda brings out the trunnion bulge...I hated it at first but ya know...still have to get a set of bulkan wood though. Now she has two outfits
I hardly ever comment on videos but I just watched this so I went and grabbed my brand new m90 and a brand new galil mag to hand feed and they all worked except the very last one. It bugged me so I took apart the mag and looked at the follower and decided to bend the vertical wings (the part that stops tilt) and I was able to get 100% hand feeding by this magazine. And now the front part of the follower is sitting much higher within the magazine itself.
Since the mag has lots of play forward and backward that is why the rounds are nose diving into the trunnion.
Adjusting the follower helped present the cartridge higher thus successfully feeding. Hope this helps.
I'm not going back to proof read this so just adjust the follower of your galil mag. That Is all.
Also getting some +10% ar mag springs would help even more for feeding.
I will be exploring more lol.

I put wolff extra power springs and with a little file work you can use magpul anti tilt ar followers. The magpul followers with reduce the capacity to 34 rounds though.
First time shooting my brand new m90 I hit two back to back bullseyes at 50 yards with iron sights I’ve only been shooting for about a year and it’s the smoothest rifle I’ve ever fired the weight of the gun makes for lil to no recoil so follow up shots are very easy to get back on target better than any AR I’ve shot so far im very pleased with it, hoping on getting there 308 when it comes to the states😌
Nice set up just picked up mine today. Oh boy! Straight out of the box and on setting 3 what a great shooter! Zastava is a legit gun maker.

I believe AKOU posted a video using the M90 with multiple mags. Some were a tight fit but they did lock in and feed. Great video as always
I absolutely love mine. Shoots like a 22, can configure as modular or old school yugo furniture (which I put on), and top quality build. Buyer beware as restricted states have very limited compatible restricted 223 magazines. It was a pain to find some AND expensive...
Glad to see you back and are ok. I had covid last December during Christmas. I'm a healthcare worker, and knew it was inevitable. Thankfully I had a mild case and mostly had bad aches and pains, However 9 months later and I still do not have any sense of taste or smell. Not likely to return. On a good note, I recently picked up a Zastava M90 as well and absolutely love it. Rob Ski and Ian McCollum have also picked up an M90. Again, great to see you back. Hopefully no further issues for you.

My M90NP does not shoot soft on any setting. I can’t really find anyone else who has experienced this. All of my 308s shoot softer than my M90NP and it’s frustrating as hell.

@@KLAYCO47 mostly brass cased ammo like Magtech, PMC, Federal...I unfortunately shoot indoor mostly. Trying to change that

@@kscarter1825 Because I'm using a Wolverine and this gun only shoots at 22 caliber round, even if it's a little off the odds of it striking are very low.
Yeah Kula does exist, I actually live right next to it. There is a gendarmerie training center there, before that JSO training centre.
Buy the steel mags and bite the bullet for the extra money. Some of the most well built mags I’ve seen. Coming from a Serb. Those mags won’t fail you. My original m90 and m95UF never had a failure of any kind with the steel yugos m85/m90 mags

Love Zastava... I've had an PAP-M92 for some time now with a Bonesteel brace and a short rail in front of the rear iron. Last week I bought the ZPAP85 which is arriving tomorrow. For this one I'm going all out.
Funny to see you use a rail stock adapter.
I thought about it for a while and I decided on removing the one from the factory on the ZPAP85 to install a direct bolt on StormWerkz plate with a AR buffer folding adapter.

Ac-unity mags fit great, also flawless and cheap! Give them a try. I probably can’t quite explain it well enough, those Zastava steel mags are expensive but they just lock in and function like butter! Worth it IMO.

I he reason I didn’t get into AK’s was the case after case after case of unopened 556 AR mags. The mft mod 2 mags are $5/ea BEFORE buying quantity discounts during the holiday season. Yeah yeah I spent a few grand in the family for the holidays too. I bought myself mags.
I’d LOVE an M90NP rifle!!! I wouldn’t use aluminum or metal mags in them but man I’d love to have one.

The Galil mags do not have the ramps towards the front of the feed lips like most other AK mags. This results in the round being shoved straight forward into the breech instead of having the nose lifted and pushed forward. As a result the round will often hit the back of the barrel and get stuck resulting in the malfunctions you were getting as “nose dives”. In the worse case condition the bullet can get pushed back and then the round loaded resulting in an over pressure situation. As a Valmet shooter we discovered this problem as valmet mags are rarer than unobtainium so many owners tried to convert Galil mags to work in their guns. Some supposedly with disastrous results.

My buddy has one of those old Galil mags. He swapped out the spring for a stronger gauged one and it runs 10/10 of the time now. I want to say he used an old AR15 magazine spring to fix it. Pure Jimmy rig but it runs.

I have a chinese Norinco 5.56 ak, and the mags surprisingly work perfectly in my m92. They are really wobly but still runs good!

@@KLAYCO47 I just held one of these rifles at the store and I was expecting this rifle to be heavier. I found it quite balanced with the 18" barrel and Zhukov stock.
The store also had an uncovered Saiga .223 (like mine) next to the M90. It's so great to still see them in the wild. Your video makes me want to go shoot my old M85 (with AR Maxwell).

I’m glad you survived Covid. I work healthcare and caught it from work. Back in December ‘20. Sucked. I’m ok now after 5 months of no taste. My wife has long Covid, some days she can’t even work. Having said all that, I want the M90. I love AKs and with the new ridiculous steel case ban 5.56 makes a lot of sense.

I ordered mine over a month ago but I'm gone for military training so it's just sitting at the dealers right now. But I ordered 2 Zastava steel mags for it and when I get home, Hopefully the steel mags work perfectly. I intend on running it on setting 3 only until I've shot at least 250 rounds through. Every video I've seen so far, it seems like magazines are a huge failure point for these rifles. I'm praying that the Zastava steel mags have no issues, since there were intended for this gun. Really happy to see you've got one though. Love your reviews

AC unity mags are the best fitting ones besides the steel Zastava mags. Galil mags are not recommended from guys who have built these off kits before.
Yep they didn’t work in the M85 as well same issue as in the video
Was curious about ac unity. Saiga works well with ac unity and circle 10

The ac unity mags present rounds as close to the bullet guide as the steel Zastava mags, which is key and why I am not a fan of the gen 2 mags, I think they will be an issue when using the mag as a monopod or shooting the gun at weird angles. The AC mags also fit as tight as the steel Zastava mags.
AC unity, for me, ran better than the zastava mags, and the circle 10 mags that I use.
Dude I drove a school bus during covid times 2020-current. Never got covid, right after I stopped working there I got it. The worst I've ever felt in my 32yrs alive. Felt like a truck ran me over and had a pounding headache for a week, cold hot sweating, it was terrible. I know the feeling

So 7 months with mine? It's been flawless with 3k down range. Only shot one round with the polymer mag, the rest has been with the real deal metal mags! Glad I purchased

I’ve seen a video where a guy welds a piece of metal to the Galil mag lug to correct the feed angle. So that it works in Zastava type rifles.
