Great you have your new feed wagon working the way it should. Hopefully the company learned something too. Hoping your heifer recovers. Another busy day on the farm. Thanks for the video.

That sounds like a very excellent idea. Get some Sally to keep that head down.😊

Had a couple cows in the last 20 years go down and cant get up... like you guys just finding them and cant get up. Not sure if they slipped or some other nerve issues, or even vets mentioning they could be some sort of deficiency of certain minerals that affect nerves, but it did seem to help if could get a sling under them or a hip carrier hooked up to a loader tractor to help stand up for a short stint to get their body upright.
    Good luck.

Had a steer go down on ice, with back legs straight out behind. Got it off the ice and when it got up, walk bold legged for about couple weeks but got better. Pinched a nerve, maybe.

Vet figured she was in heat, and another heifer jumped her and she slipped.

Calcium glucnate for milk fever or dexomycin anti inflammatory for the nerves when calf thru canal

Do you have a set of hip hooks, you could lift her and see if she can stand.

My guess is she won't be able to stand on her own, but getting them upright can help to see what function or stability they have.

She could have slipped and broke a leg

How many pounds can you get on that new feed wagon?

We've had 3 big bales and corn silage that was 9000lbs. Once we go to more corn silage/ oats straw, I'm thinking we will get a lot more in.

@ Nice!, with our Knight feed wagon we can get about 7000 on it with 3000 pounds of ground hay and 4000 pounds of silage

Wierd for a young one to go down. A cow after calving is usually dehydration. My neighbor grabbed a bucket and a hose and we put 10 gallons down into the stomach and she was up that evening. When in doubt ask a dairy farmer I guess.

It seems to me Highline should have solved the issues you're having prior to putting the machine on the market. Instead, you've become their Guinea pig.
    Unless I'm missing something.

What your missing is that every farms feeding situation is different.
All mixers are delivered with a basic setup and then every farm has to find the specific setup that’s works for them.
The sales company went above and beyond to make sure the mixer is functioning as it’s supposed to
