I was arguing the first points in my mind already. Sarcasm is sometimes rude and unfortunately, some people take pride in being sarcastic. But yeah, I am sometimes sarcastic.

This one hits me every time, I was watching something on the second screen with audio and this video and reading comments and still taking in information flawlessly.
I disagree, these are just stereotypical ways to define ENTPs but they are, as mentioned in a comment above, not always resisting a debate. If a debate is about stuff you haven't looked into you probably avoid it. If the debate is just straight out dumb you just troll.
Seems like you have a lot of time to waste on nonsense, i am ENTP myself, and i will avoid any discussion even if am right just because i have goals to achieve.
@@pallavmishra6660 I actually do indeed have a lot of time to burn. 😅 (I also do have the patience to argue for a long time because my grandmother lives in my house and I like making her mad like my dad. I made different tests and got both results and now I really don't know which one I Am. I normally am more on the introverted site, but I can relate to ENTP much more. Also I have Adhd, this could affect the result of the test as well.. I am very much confused.
Ara Ara Senpai!i!i ENTPs tend to be Ambiverts while INTPs are usually really introverted. I’m an ENTP and I can be extroverted but also really introverted
@@Moonkin444 Fuckin same. I'm wondering whether my adhd affects things as well. Its also strange, I am very extroverted... sometimes. And i am very introverted... sometimes. I will be out with friends, loving it, socializing, being energized, and then suddenly cut off completely tired, thinking "this sucks, I need me time." Then I'll be alone, feeling refreshed, energized, and then suddenly cut off, completely tired and lonely thinking "this sucks, I want to be around people." Idk if many other people have this back and forth between extroversion and introversion.
As an ENTP, you will inevitably say to yourself "My argument seems so perfect, there's no way I will ever change it", and then proceed to change it a few days later lol
wrong, stupidity and arrogance are irritating, to believe in falsehoods or resort to fallacies and be incapable of logic is to either be stupid or arrogant (and no, there arent multiple logics, there's only one, the only variables are the human and the information the human is using, logic is a constant, it's the backbone of existence). so really people believing in nonsense is expected and not irritating on it's own, if that can have a potential effect one that's certainly irritating, and if it's someone close to me it's also irritating. and at last, if any of those things at the start happen it's also irritating because everything devolves into a game of bullshitting rather than finding the truth. i think you get the point.
@@UndisputedGH05T each to their own I suppose, I personally find it pretty amusing , and I find myself encouraging people like that down the rabbit hole, until, which they always do, find themselves tangled in the deep and tragic web of their misjudgements, at which point they might lash out and resort to straw mans or personal attacks, and then of course it all becomes glaring obvious what's happening. But ive always found that it's more frustrating to the other person, especially if they're convinced that they cant be wrong. And As you might know such situations are pretty commonplace so I agree it can get a bit old, when people constantly mistake healthy criticism as a blow to their ego. @@MichaelWilliams-bx2ty I'm terrible paying fines. I had an old parking ticket outstanding for months. My dad's name is on my car, so they call him and say he has to go to FREAKING COURT unless I pay immediately! He was obviously mad, and I felt so frustrated with myself - all this because I couldn't pick up the damn phone for 2 minutes and call to pay!
I set reminders on my phone. This means I don’t have to struggle to keep these sorts of things in my mind. Over time I’ve learned how nice it is to have a clean environment all the time instead of just the one time a year I can be bothered to clean, so I don’t mind getting the little notifications any more. I also set a reminder for when certain bills go out so it’s no longer a shock when I check my bank account.
the only time i resist a debate is when i know fully well that i am not going to be listened to or when people will not even consider new ideas. my dad loves talking politics but it's hard because of how deadset he is in his beliefs
Ugh that must be so friggin painful. On election night I wrote an 8 and a half page pamphlet of reasons to consider a new pov and change their views on a certain politician...
My stepfather pushes my buttons more than anyone else. I know it's pointless to argue with him, he'll never change his mind about being racist and homophobic, it never ends well, but, sometimes I just can't help myself.
You know you’re an ENTP when someone tells you “you might not be an ENTP” and you question it instead of getting offended cause you’re never really sure
depends on how far you wanna go.. sometimes I watch/ listen to things that I really wanna learn, over and over again...to the point I fully master it.. ( we have got ISFJ subconscious remember?!😉 )
I disagree. When an ENTP finds something interesting and fascinating to them (e.g. mbti), they simply will not stop trying to learn, talk, and think about it. They will try to approach whatever it is in every way possible and will not hesitate to have other people, such as the person in the video, help them in doing so. ENTPs are commonly mistooken for having ADHD and miniscule attention spans, however, that is only because they would rather use all their attention on something thru care about rather than something someone else is telling them (that is unless the person IS talking about something they care about, in which case they will fully engage in the conversation with absolute pleasure).
It was short so it was ok. I am an entp and I've watched videos that are up to 43 minutes long if it's a topic I'm very interested in and if it's broken down into segments
My brother is a very VERY stereotypical ENTP lol his “secret” in arguments is “acting confident even if he doesn’t know what he’s talking about” 😂😂😂😂 i joke to him saying that 95% of the time he’s making up random points
That’s weird cuz ENTPs ALWAYS KNOW WHAT THEYRE TALKING ABOUT. We don’t typically make random points either. We understand things in a logical way and can make quick and easy connections about everything. We dislike dogmatism so maybe ur brother is not an ENTP. yes this made me feel better. i usually avoid stuff that talks about adhd cuz i dont like thinking of my self negatively. id rather be labled an entp than adhd.
Funfact: ENTPs sometimes run away from debates (really!). Indeed, they have Ne as their base and Ti as auxiliary function, so they are really good at finding logical inconsistences and attacking from many sides (also demonstrative Te helps), but...their Se is weak and unvalued. If they see that they are wrong and they have no arguments, they can just leave. Standing their ground and fighting for too long may become too much. Also Fi PoLR is a big issue. They get offended very easily, because they aren't sure of the motives and intentions of others. If things between people aren't defined in a Ti-way, they are lost, turn on their Fe-expression in a negative way, throw it on people and...run away or hide. Some neutral arguments can hurt them. Another thing is that they aren't necessarily so open to new ideas, when they overuse their Ti. They have their own logical frameworks, systems that work for them, they will defend them. Ne doesn't have to be open. It sometimes may force other people to take its point of view (it makes sense theoretically: extraverted functions are turned outside, to influence the world around, intuition does it in the abstract). Great video, as always 😉
Well you're obviously right. MBTI isn't supposed to describe literally every single being on earth. Anyone who says "all ENTP does this etc" is using the theory wrong. Patterns over time and how a person naturally think is the real deal, not some superficial behaviors that are shaped by mental conditions, nurture, and circumstances.
I am entp but I find having a discussion with most people exausting because of their inability to see any other point of view but their own so I like to probe for the possibility but usually don't even bother.
@@SHEMOZZLED you are not bored. You're very interested. Maybe even passionate. If you weren't then you wouldn't be doing what you're doing. The problem (curse or gift) is that you're multitasking. So you NEED a distraction to better concentrate. (That probably makes no sense if you're not entp...) Let me guess : you wanna watch a video or maybe even a movie, or you're trying to solve a problem or do homework... but you just keep on getting distracted by smaller tasks, usually requiring simple problem solving... Here's what I recommend : look for apps and games that require problem solving skills. BUT NOT ONES THAT REQUIRE REFLECTION. It has to be INTUITIVE PUZZLES. Rhythm games require too much attention. Bad choice. Colouring, grids, sudoku, etc are way better. There definitely is a mathematical explanation to all the logic behind the puzzles, BUT you essentially solve them through intuition. That's what you need. Also, frequently change games when you get to used to one.
As an ENTP, in an argument I 1) show them I'm empathetic to why they think what they do 2) explain why they're wrong 3) disarm them from being able to logically counter 4) then play devils advocate for them
I sometimes feel like I'm not an ENTP because i never really got the chance to debate/get into arguments simply because my whole family are Feelers and Judgers. It kinda sucks bc im mostly grounded everytime I start an arguement lmao
Yes, I see your point. It’s somewhat the same for me, I am literally the only one in my family that chooses rationally and logic over feelings and emotions, which really sucks
I absolutely love it, especially the ending! XD You know you're not an ENTP when... you don't have 1000 different interests that drove you to start even more projects that have yet to be completed... and likely never will be.

A fond memory of one ENTP came to mind: At school we were sitting a logic test and that ENTP was arguing the phrasing of each question, suggesting various interpretations that could lead to any answer. When the teacher was reading out the test results, it went like this: "If you only scored between 0 and 1 points... (the ENTP looked around triumphantly).... then congratulations, you have exceptional logic skills but you tried to make some sort of a point. We hope you have achieved it". The face of that ENTP being outsmarted like that by test authors was priceless 😁
I'm hurt XD Honestly school (and/or any other institution) is a big dilemma where you either give "the correct answer" (according to your beliefs/opinion), or the "expected answer" which is often hypocritical (and/or twisted according to a limited freedom). You know that you are not an ENTP when you don’t understand why people cannot just rationally discuss things and find solutions, and when you don’t voluntarily expose yourself to verbal sparring in BLM and Trump forums just to test out some arguments and to see whether both groups have any common ground... and then end up being accused of being a Russian spy 🤣
Must be an NTP thing because I'm INTP and get accused of being a Russian spy as well. You have to be intelligent to work in intelligence so I guess it's a compliment.
Never have I been in more debates with people I know than during this period. Luckily, everyone I've spoken to isn't overly idealogical which is extremely refreshing indeed! ~ Nathan
The reason is because they don’t want a solution, they just want to “express their feelings” which, as an NTP, comes across as self-indulgent and irrational. It’s like wading through a muddy Fi swamp these days.

As someone who gets typed as either ENTP OR INFP on every functions test (I'm pretty sure I'm not ENFP or INTP though, though I could be wrong), the INFP video all checked out, but this ALSO all checked out. So no conclusion yet.
I can relate to all of these, even though I identify as ESTP. Especially the humor aspect. Though not so much in sarcasm, but in irreverent observation and human folly. And I think every ExxP can get hit with the ADD label, it's not even a disorder for us.

I love sarcasm, jokes, debates, and enthusiastically talking to people about things that I like (I could do it for hours). On the other hand, I’m afraid to approach people I don’t know, and I retreat into myself whenever people start talking about something that doesn’t interest me. I’m not sure whether I’m an INTP or an ENTP. I feel like it’s become a switch for me, like when I get the go ahead I become Doc Brown, otherwise I’m a wall flower.
I'm the exact same way.ENTP characteristics fits me extremely well except for when I'm not confident with the topic or people. I'm curious if you ever figured out which of the 2 personality types you were as I've been wondering the same thing.
Hmm sometimes I really doubt that I am an ENTP because of that debating aspect... I used to be really into this stuff in middle school, but recently it got me tired and I rarely argue people, especially when I know that 1) they won't listen or 2) they will stop talking to me and I cannot afford that loss in certain moment. I can stop myself very easily from debate (although I usually debate the thing in my head anyway lol). This is how some of us contradict the "debater" stereotype :D

Came from “You know you’re NOT an INTP When...” video. I oscillate between being an INTP and ENTP, I can’t discern whether I’m a Ti dom or an Ne dom. Sometimes I would lean more on being an ENTP but then a few hours later I’ll start doubting it again and start researching about INTPs and their function stack. I am confident that I have Ne, Ti, Fe and Si just don’t know how it’s ordered for me.
Literally an entp with adhd here! You're so on point man, i also used to type as an intp but I'm not nearly as quiet and sure as hell cannot keep some of my brilliant thoughts to myself lol
When I first did the MBTI in 2018 I was ENTP. Now, after some 2 intense years of self work, auto-analysis and great upheaval personally... I test as an INTP... I felt like Austin Powers who lost his Mojo...
I know the feeling. It's both shitty and rewarding to get rid of all the dysfunction and remove alle the veils of learned behavior and get into who you truly are.
Sorry, ENTP here but I don't debate with people anymore, I debate with myself. Somehow I figure out that people often mistake me debating as arguing for the sake of winning not educating, and I'm tired of explaining it to everybody once in a short while. Now I have one perfect partner to debate with, myself! I rather say debating with myself makes me a lot calmer from the outside, and I blend a lot better into this boring, hate-it-can't-escape-it society.
The review told me nothing new that I didn’t know well before. When you open the mind’s door you close to the floor, the threshold, the door frame of wisdom. 😊
Every time I take the test I get ENTP, but as I’ve aged the percentage for each category dropped from 90%+ to 60-75% I’m definitely an ENTP but not as much as I used to be. My best friend was really sarcastic in middle school so I used to be much more sarcastic, but not so much anymore. I’m a pretty genuine person, and honestly not that funny. I tend to readily sink into philosophical discussions and drag my friends down with me instead of lightly joking on a topic. My high school friends would take debates to personally and would actually get upset and hurt for things that weren’t even attacks at anyone. They debated a lot which was a huge reason why I got into that friend group and I found them intelligent and their varied opinions interesting, but the level of emotional charge and hurt feelings that would occur really sucked out my interest in debating with them most of the time. I very easily can accept that I might be wrong about something, or that there can be two opposing truths that are equally accurate.
If you can go into extraverted mode and deal with people you are ENTP. INTP are stucked in their minds. ENTP goes in and out of his mind. I am ENTP and last 5 days I am in introverted mode, haven't talked with people irl and am enjoying this, but when I go out, I easily switch to extraverted mode, thing INTPs can't do. Просто ник it depends who I’m with! When I’m with my friends I can be very loud and crazy sometimes, or quiet and introspective. I’m often in my head, like when I’m with strangers/acquaintances, but with friends I’m the extrovert. It’s confusing 😅
@@wannabehuman I think that's the difference between entp's and intp's. I am not surprised with the last one. Because of what other people has been saying to me for years, I had self referred to an Asperger diagnosis. And after consulting, having a talk, filling up some papers... I received twice papers for Asperger AND ADHD. As they said in the centre which issued all paperwork, they assume ADHD as well, so they need more data. And since I live in UK, after sending extra papers like 3 times, it might take up to 2 years before I will get invitation for consultation etc. SO FOR ME THAT IS STRESSING AS HELL. Especially knowing, that my personality can be funky, yet very irritating for the people as well.
I switch between ENFP, ENTP and INTP when I make the tests. I love to debate but I also care about people and sometimes I get huge social anxiety, whiel sometimes I go to parties alone and meet tones of people. I guess I'm just a messi.

As an ENTP I have argued sarcastically and ironically in favor of a point really do not subscribe at all. But my point was not to argue, but to make fun of illogical that stance was. Some time later people mention that they think I believe in "x" and I am like dude I was being sarcastic could you not tell? I try to make sarcasm as obvious as possible and people still do not get it.... Could it be that I am wrong and I should make it clear I am being sarcastic? wrong, stupidity and arrogance are irritating, to believe in falsehoods or resort to fallacies and be incapable of logic is to either be stupid or arrogant (and no, there arent multiple logics, there's only one, the only variables are the human and the information the human is using, logic is a constant, it's the backbone of existence). so really people believing in nonsense is expected and not irritating on it's own, if that can have a potential effect one that's certainly irritating, and if it's someone close to me it's also irritating. and at last, if any of those things at the start happen it's also irritating because everything devolves into a game of bullshitting rather than finding the truth. i think you get the point.

Anyone who says "all ENTP does this etc" is using the theory wrong. sometimes it does be like that. Even many cognitive function test might present the types tied.
after taking a test from a different website i’m now stuck here with a identity crisis (former intp?¿)
You know you're sarcasm is too much when it is delivered even through typing.
This is an artform indeed ~ Nathan
If you took the test more than 2 times, ended up as an ENTP each time, and you're watching yt videos about "how to know if you're not an ENTP", you are already an ENTP my friend.
You know you’re an ENTP when you spend weeks arguing in the UA-cam comment section with someone until you have the last word.
A quote I find embodies the ENTP lifestyle is _"People who both hate themselves with a burning passion and think they could effortlessly surpass god at the exact same time"_ -Twinkle toes
I'm an INTP but you made me doubt 😂. Great work, as always !
Well good... and thank you! ~ Nathan
I am confident that I have Ne, Ti, Fe and Si just don’t know how it’s ordered for me.
for me is like that but i oscilate between ENTP and INTJ... the order is quite right Nx Tx Fx Sx but i cant figure which is E and I
I plan my day for the next days but end up doing everything else except the things I’ve planned ahahahahahahha
I swing between INTJ and ENTP and i dont know what my true mbti type is... maybe 8 years of therapy made me develop the opposite functions too lol
I don't physically fight, I fight with words and logic and if it's a logical debate I will do my best to win - ENTP
The review told me nothing new that I didn’t know well before. When you open the mind’s door you close to the floor, the threshold, the door frame of wisdom. 😊
"If you have ADH... I'll finish it another time"
Painfully accurate 😂😭
you know you're not an ENTP when your natural reaction is NOT to question and provide a counter-argument to whatever the other person is saying
thank god this was 3 minutes my attention span dies when videos are longer
Still no idea if I’m an INTP or ENTP 😅 (but oh my god my defining personality features are adhd and wordplay)
ENTP are INTP with social intelligence.
Entps show their goofy extroverted and charismatic side to the people they don't know so well that's why we are so good off in unexpected new situations and can blend into any new group of people like we were the part of the group for years. At least for me, I kinda feel awkward when there's a group of more than 2 people that I know, because it feels superstitious so I often come off as the quiet one. In a group of unknown people tho, wooohooo, I'm the life of a party. Idk, it's some weird biass I guess. Maybe it's just me.
As for intp's, I hear they're like super charismatic when Ina groupof friends. So it's like the complete opposite but the same at the same time.
find out if you use fe or fi, that's it, if you use fe youre an entp, if fi, youre intp, i think that's like the main difference (not really but if youre confused about your introversion or extroversion, finding out should help)
aFakaYu lol I feel being described myself. It's completely me.
I got in trouble with teachers and stuff when I was younger for debating them and other people over the smallest thing. I’ve learnt to pick my battles and also know that there are some people who are not worth debating- because they just aren’t open and it’s not worth it. Also I’m not diagnosed but highly suspect I have adhd (and maybe autism p) but I’ve spoken to my mum and she doesn’t think it’s “diagnosable”
This video made me come to an understanding that I'm 100% an ENTP
as an entp I love debating because the moment I know Im right is when it gets so good love to talk extra technically to confuse them the sheer look on there face once they get confused of what im saying or when they realize im right is priceless
I successfully convinced someone I know IRL that I was a flat earther this week 🤦♀️. Which led to a very interesting discussion about his belief that the Bible should be taken as absolute truth even within the realm of science....
That is what we call being dedicated to your craft.
Well the Bible isn't as retarded as it looks. People just can't tell what the fuck it's saying and then spread their chromosome defective thinking mixed with words that they can't understand and now we got a church with auto immune disorder due to lack of discernment lol.
I do take The Bible as absolute truth. If J.C. could nanotech bread into existence back before we had electricity and the internet, why cant he nanotech me a nice steak dinner in 2020??
Those conversations are the best!
@@7sanctuz Exactly! No one can tell what it's saying within Christianity which is why there are hundreds of denominations. God speaks in code apparently, and different people think their decoder ring is right, and all the others are trinkets. Imitations of the real thing.
worst part about being entp is understanding that no one can indefinitely be 100% certain in their self-proclaimed objectivism so as soon as we start an argument we immediately understand why were wrong and why everyone is wrong/everyone is right. how ironic that the most extreme level of argument and contradiction is unification, paradoxically existent, the only “truth”
number 3 just really spoke to me as ive always felt the most paradoxically challenged by “truth” and i think other entp’s also struggle the most with “who’s right” not because we’re too dumb too know but too smart, maybe... maybe......
Title of the video: "You know you're NOT an ENTP [when]..."
Actual video: "You know you're NOT an ENTP [if]..."
This is hilarious, I realised this grammatical mix up when I watched the first recording of it back and none of the sentences made sense. Well played for being the only person to point this out! ~ Nathan
@@lovewho 😅 Haha! I tend to notice that kind of thing. Great content, btw.
Well, crap! If I hadn't already settled into a belief that I am an ENTP, I would have had to stop fighting it as soon as you said that about ENTPs "I know I shouldn't have, but I got into a debate .." lol lol lol UA-cam won't let me post videos because nambys are ascared of what my content might be considering comments I have left around. Pfftt!
Oh. Apparently, I've been here before. (sigh)
Holy crap did this hit home. Man, I'm so tired of people telling me I have ADHD, I don't! I just think way fast, like Sonic fast!
ENTPs have consistently been the "quickest" thinkers I've known. They really are a mile a minute ~ Nathan
@@lovewho Yes I abuse the fact that I can have like 3 thinking ticks while most people only have 1 to think faster and react perfectly and PWN some goddamn noobs in virtual reality. DIE NOOBS! Pew pew pew EXPLOSION!
Exactly, how do you rationalise an exceptional ability to be a “disorder.” It’s like trying to argue that a person with exceptionally outstanding mental capacity has some sort of disability or limitation, rather it’s both a limitation and a unique strength
I think so fast. How come it takes me so long to make a decision? :)
Try learning the Type grid here and Season 15 and more: ua-cam.com/video/5ASWxOXmF1M/v-deo.html
Same here. I think I even got INFP once.
same here but INTJ instead of ENFP
I’m all for “tones” of people! :) great word play!
Great explanation! Keep doing such work, you deserve more subs!
Well... I'm a big fan of this comment. Feel free to share our videos on other sites/groups if you're on them such as on Facebook, we've noticed that really tends to help. Thank you again for your comment ~ Nathan
No it is the people that is wrong they should be the ones to understand the genius of my trolling mind, lol.
This is such an ENTP problem to encounter. When people don't detect that it's sarcasm, all manner of comical and complicated misunderstandings can occur ~ Nathan
@@lovewho My favourite thing to do is to troll people who can't tell if I'm making things up. I had a good friend at work completely convinced that I was going to move to China soon and start teaching English - he is from China, so I even asked him for tips - travel, where to stay, places to visit, etc. The confusion on his face was so satisfying :)
@@SHEMOZZLED what is so funny about that?
If the person can't tell if you are joking i can assume it is because the person in context doesn't know you that well.
Logically if i have a random friend from idk London, who doesn't know me that well and i just randomly show up and tell him that i'm moving to London, he has no reason to know i'm ''trolling him'', in his eyes is going to come up as a lie and that it, also you made him waste his time to tell you useless information.
Now, different case if i tell that to my best friend who knows me since 7th grade, knows about what is going on in my life, if she falls for the ''troll'' i could say i succeeded because i fooled someone who knows me.
But even that, lying to a friend about you ''moving out'' without no reason just seems to me not funny xD
gets really problematic when you don't subscribe to slavery or antisemitism
I was about too argue why i chould resist arguments
I thought i was in the sweet spot of having restraints but i subtly argue all time
I disagree, I occasionally resist my urge to argue on the premise that my intellectually engaging debate would be considered overtly offensive and thus my fear of “being kicked out of the tribe.”
Well, now I'm questioning if I'm actually mistyped as an ENTP, because I usually avoid conflict, but I often get into debates with my friends, even though they are never personal. I just freeze when a personal argument happens
Yeah I only get into debates if someone eggs me on- idk i normally just leave people alone if the debate is going to be useless
Yeah. I question whether or not you are really an ENTP too! But hey, I’d question it no matter what you said! ;)
Update I mistyped- Im actually an enfp oh well
I need an ENTP in my life. I have the same sense of humor, and I think discussions would be satisfying because I’m also pretty objective. And I happen to find them really attractive - ISTP
ENTP/ISTP duos are awesome to watch in fiction too. Django and King Schultz, Tyrion and Bronn etc... ~ Nathan
Love Who True! I’d definitely love to see more of those
I also find ISTPs attractive.... - ENTP
My brother's an ISTP and we can have great debates and share humor, but in other hand his Ne blindness leads to him being bored out of his mind with my questions and my need to investigate further. So our conversations are very stationary and not exploratory. I haven't met another ISTP in my life so maybe it's a sibling thing, but that Ne blindness annoys the heck out of me, ngl.
ᄂDEADSOONᄀ I have an ENFP friend, and it’s true I don’t really understand Ne, but that doesn’t stop us lol
as an entp I would say that sometimes I irked when there's somebody comes out of nowhere and said that certain jokes are offensive eventhough the jokes are harmless and not a single person been hurt and they themselves might be just wanted to sounds nice by saying the joke is offensive. it kinda ruins the mood real hard
okay, but i'm joking in such a natural way, that my friends think i'm just stupid
Not me researching for ADHD because I thought I had it, turns out I might just be an entp.
Life is so crazy y'all. What a day to be alive.
ENTJ next!! I love these videos
Oh I'll definitely have to do that one! I'll get to it at some point, promise. We have playlist where you can select 'ENTJ' and will play you all the ENTJ videos if you haven't already watched them ~ Nathan
You know you're not ENTP when you've watched this video in 1x and finished the entire thing.
