I had no idea Odashi was so rough with Tororo. It's an unfair fight with Odashi being so much bigger than Tororo but he did fight back! Good for you Tororo! I bet he took a nap after Odashi rolling and pulling him around. It looked exhausting for him. Also, I liked seeing Tororo wagging his tail while playing with the stuffed animal to practice. Not exactly the tough response grandma wanted but cute!
for humans it may seem shocking but they are animals and their way of playing is biting, at no time are there cries of pain, and prepare for when the mother teaches her to swim, you are going to see how the baby drowns without letting him breathe, because the otters train their babies like this

Otters are rough with eachother. Like, very rough! But they are also very loving and social with eachother. Not to mention, otters are rediculously tough! They have similar forms of toughness as the honey badger, which they are related to (both are mustelids).
You are correct. The big difference is… unlike other mustelids (esp. honey-badgers), many otter species are social, especially the one featured in this video -- Oriental Small-Clawed Otters are VERY social, VERY vocal, + VERY smart

Grandma Loutre, I am so impressed with how you are easing little Tororo into “practice” for things you know he will face in life, but gently and with baby steps. Very shallow pool to ease him in to swimming/water, and soft “battle practice” with the stuffed toys for when he needs to assert himself (like with Odashi!) I know there are many others out there who have noticed this too and I wanted to let you know that Tororo is so lucky to have you as his Training Coach and Comfort Person. He adores you! 🥰❤️
