Hi Sanjay, I just discovered your channel and I am so glad I did. You are a breath of fresh air in not just the watch community but in this world. Thank you for your content and your well wishes in each video. You are infinitely valuable and have gained a new subscriber :). Cheers!
A great look.🍎 Love the case shape, and the size on your wrist. A bit of a bummer, imo, that GS decided against dauphine hands; I don't understand that decision.🧐
Happy for you my friend 🎉 I’m 2 years in and I just got a Folex from Turkey. No complaints with the movement and accuracy. I just wish I had $40k to buy and sell watches at will 😂
Thanks for sharing! I own that watch and is amazing. Though i dont love the brazalet because it doesn't tappers, the shape of the GS44 case makes it look like tapered. But that case really shine with straps. I purchased separately the 16mm deployant buckle and I love it in black croco, like your SBGY003, love it in grey croco..or dressing it down with other styles. You will enjoy it for sure!
Many thanks for sharing - very valuable info as I search for my first GS. I have 6.25in wrist and am considering of this one. I just don't understand why GS doesn't include screw down crown on these; the case is thick enough. Now that you've had it a few months, I wonder how accurate is the 9S64 is? Thanks again!
Beautiful watch, congratulations. BTW, I see conflicting info on the 'net about this model having a screw-down crown (or not). Can you let me know? Cheers!
Congratulations. Two really nice watches! I'm currently watching a series of UA-cam videos related to Grand Seiko, because I just bought my first GS. I went for a traveller’s GMT, the SBGN029. And just like in your case, my other watch that I'm currently wearing a lot is an Omega, the SeaMaster Diver 300M.
It's a honey of a watch and a perfect fit. The manually wound spring drive caliber is cool, I love the 44GS case (sized up or down), the dial's attractive but refined & reserved. I do like the hands, though yes I'm also a big fan of the dauphine hands I associate more with GS. The case still says "Grand Seiko" loud & clear. This is another great choice IMO. Your collection is starting to get a little bonkers in the best way. My watches are less expensive, but I've been having a great time making my collection "leaner & meaner" this year. It's a bit of work to sell, but every watch in your collection should turn your crank somehow. My collection fits in a 12-slot box now, and next year it may fit in an 8-slot. I'm buying less & less often, but I still do buy and the process of evolving the collection is quite fun. We picked a pretty cool hobby here. Not the cheapest hobby, but still! 👍
Great additions to your collection, congrats! That would be a mighty two-watch collection if that is all that you had. Throw in your Planet Ocean or Pelagos (you still have that right?) and that is a great three-watch collection.
I love the SBGY series from GS. My grail is the SBGY026. Too bad they only made 100 of them, but the dial on it with the revolutionary spring drive is just perfection.
Congrats Sanjay! It does bring back the feeling of the legendary SBGY003. How do you feel about not having spring drive? i have only owned one once. I just really like the designs offered in high beat and mechanical over the spring drive. One watch im still considering is the SBGY009.
Thanks Sam! I miss spring drive and will have one back in my collection eventually....not sure which one though. Hoping the SLGW003 is a good fit for my wrist. If not, the search will continue haha (That's a hi-beat though) SBGY009 is hard to be IMO. Spring drive and a thin 44GS is a sweet combo!
Hey Marcus :) Haha you think so? Dauphine hand are so beautiful I also felt like the dauphine hands would have been more difficult to manufacture than these ones but I'm not certain about that either way
It’s wonderful to see you back Sanjay-you were missed! 😊
Thanks so much UWC! I missed you as well!!
No this GS is very special! Lovely size lovely design and just overall amazing 🤩 thnx for the vids Sanjay, your content is also infinitely valuable!!
You're too kind, thank you very much! This really is a special GS!
favorite GS reviewer on youtube. ive bought 4 other GS because of your channel. finally a proper unboxing on this
You’re too kind, my friend! My apologies for being a bad influence 😅

Congratulations on the new pickups 👍 I can’t wait to see what you trade them for next week 👏
Thanks so much! Yeah haha I’m going to have to start over proving that I’m a new man 😂
This looks amazing on your wrist. Lovely lovely piece
Thanks so much! And yes, it really is!
A great look.🍎 Love the case shape, and the size on your wrist. A bit of a bummer, imo, that GS decided against dauphine hands; I don't understand that decision.🧐
Nice watch and yes it looks much better on your wrist. Very elegant timepiece!

I’m really looking forward to putting it on a few straps once the heat dies down 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
This watch looks perfect on your wrist. Great choice!
Thank you very much!
That dial is special and the size is perfect for you Sanjay 👌
Thanks so much, my friend!

Hey Sanjay,
You’re one of the very few genuine watch UA-camrs.
Hope you’ll always find some time to keep this channel going!
Thank you for the kind words, my friend! :)
beautiful dial and hand! congrats!
Nice collector's edition of Rain Code. Also nice watch :)

Thanks for sharing! Downsizing is very rewarding as well! Glad you were able to move some pieces on.
Yes, our hobby is a fun one, that's for sure!
Great additions to your collection, congrats! That would be a mighty two-watch collection if that is all that you had. Throw in your Planet Ocean or Pelagos (you still have that right?) and that is a great three-watch collection.
Thanks so much! Yeah I think so too. Though I hope to balance out the dive watches in the upcoming months
My dream watch too, one of the GSs for small wrists.
Liking your new collection: GS SBGW, AT, Pelagos and Planet Ocean. Versatile and nice pieces
Thanks so much! Yeah I think it’s turning out pretty well 🙂
I love the SBGY series from GS. My grail is the SBGY026. Too bad they only made 100 of them, but the dial on it with the revolutionary spring drive is just perfection.
Congrats! Curious where u sold/traded ur other pieces…
A forum?
Thank you very much!
My local AD in Toronto takes trades and that makes things really easy!
Nice Sanjay! Congrats
Thanks so much, my friend! Great to hear from you!
Between the GS and The Aqua Terra those are some lovely pieces.
They really are! Thanks again, my friend!
Congrats Sanjay! It does bring back the feeling of the legendary SBGY003. How do you feel about not having spring drive? i have only owned one once. I just really like the designs offered in high beat and mechanical over the spring drive. One watch im still considering is the SBGY009.

Hoping the SLGW003 is a good fit for my wrist. If not, the search will continue haha (That's a hi-beat though)
SBGY009 is hard to be IMO. Spring drive and a thin 44GS is a sweet combo!
Looking forward to your positive/negative comments for the GS SLGW003.
This one suits your wrist way better than the Omega 👍🤩
Haha Yes it does!🙂
Did you see the new King Seiko 1969 release coming out next month?
I did, it looks good but probably not for me. I’m looking forward to seeing how I feel about it in person
How about getting the Grand Seiko SLGW003?
Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh! I have a feeling it might not be for me though!
What did you get rid of? Not your sje093 right?
been waiting to pick up the blue dial version!
The blue dial is gorgeous as well! Hope you get to pick one up soon
@@engineer_wannabe debating waiting for.micro adjust!
Which mesh bracelet is it in the video?
GS Guru is back !
smaller case is the way to go!
The thinner bigger case variants are good for many (SLGH013, SBGP017), but the smaller case is just right for me :)
how big is your wrist? thanks
Congratulations! Beautiful watch. The hands are like Japanese chop sticks. They look fine.
That’s a good description of them! Yup, they are fine 👊🙂
What a beauty
👍👍
congrats bro
like the 289 better
Thanks so much, and I can see where you're coming from :)
We are no longer SBGW289 brothers.
Chunky watch, but looks nice otherwise
Katana style hands > dauphine hands ! Really show off the Zaratsu polishing
Hey Marcus :)
Haha you think so?
Dauphine hand are so beautiful
I also felt like the dauphine hands would have been more difficult to manufacture than these ones but I'm not certain about that either way
Switch the hands and keep these if you sell. Upload of course.
Haha will do :)
First!
That bracelet is a horrible match for the watch. Looks really odd
I disagree and I guess Sanjay will switch to straps very soon.
It's not ideal but I don't mind it. Great for the warmer months!
Leya, good to hear from you. Yes! it'll be on a strap once the cooler weather comes :)
