Came in to milk this morning and she was back to her original healthy size. There’s not a ton of information on more of a “chronic” bloat that can lead to the lethal point so this was so helpful! Ty for this video! Billy and Holly-Lolly broke into my garden last night and feasted. Billy was acting uncomfortable and looked a little bloated. So I gave him this mixture plus molasses for flavor. Billy totally bullies Holly-Lolly over the chaffhaye. We feed them from separate containers because of his habits. Lol. Ty for posting this video again. It helped!
I'm a first time goat mom and my boy is acting like he needs to poop and can't. I've already given him castor oil and some water with baking soda. It's been over an hour and he seems less miserable. Still hasn't pooped yet, though. I was thinking bloat but, he eats a regular diet of all feed and the occasional animal cracker or cereal. Today, he kind of pigged out on grass and leafy branches. I'm so worried, I can't bring myself to go inside and have him unattended. His gf sends fine.
She reminds me of my Saanen dairy goat. Thinks and probably is a matriarch. I’m curious how do your livestock cope in the warmer months. Being you reside in the Sonoran desert region
I've also tried patting his rumen (sp) (left side) to listen for hollow sounds or to feel tightness. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He has a mineral block already but, maybe I need a bloat block?

I took him to vet and give 4 injection into his neck but still he is yelling and sitting and standing at same place looks very dull. Please give a life saving solution to help my goat.

Hello there ! I need your advice. I have a goat who is currently sick. He has pale eyelid and tounge. He screams most of the time and don't eat and drink much. He's lying most of the time. He's been sick for last 4-5 days. His stole and urine is quite ok but he screams while urinating. We went to vet like 2days ago and he prescribed liver tonic fortified with yeast and vitamin oral liquid, HP( iron tonic ) however it seemed like it wasn't working so we went to another local vet today who has given molfen meloxicam tablet rumenotoric with synbiotic. Even after these medications he's still bleating. Can you please help? 😢
Our goats are protective over their food 😂 so what my dad does he has them eat in 3 different feed bowl.One of the bowls are a cattle feed bowl and the other 2 are 2 bottoms halves of a bucket that way they ain’t fighting over the same food,and when the baby grows up we are gonna use the cattle feed bowl for the momma and baby and the 2 halves for the other 2 goats
Good luck! My goat had serious bloat and impactions, and we found electrolytes really helped! We put a big (needless) syringe in the side of his mouth and squirted it down his throat every morning and night. How is you goat now?

May be organophashpate posoning. Drench with chark coal and bathe the animal.

I feed all my goats separately. It's a pain, but that way I can make sure that each gets as much (or as little) as they need.

I have a goat who just won’t get rid of bloat but she doesn’t eat much. She is in fact the one who gets bullied the most at feedings.

Can I use canola oil?
canola is rapeseed oil - bad for humans so I wouldn't give it to an ailing goat......olive oil is much better
