I am the most critical person when it comes conversions, as people want to reinvent the wheel, but yours is good, everything makes sense. I don't like alloys, but that's okay, I have an 08 Vivaro bought/converted in 2015 and love it after 150+ nights. In the mountains you put it in 4th and you are almost driving an auto, the engine is so flexible and gearing perfect. It is much better than the T4/5 in every way and as you say much cheaper to run + no timing belt. I have a rock and roll bed because like you I am 6 foot and didn't think I would fit, but I travel with the missus, so easier and don't need the van for work. I like the black, but not where I live in Portugal where white is cooler in the sun. But a good job, simple and does exactly what you want it to do. I am envious of the LWB, the guy I bought it off was upgrading to LWB, bah!!!..but never mind. Thanks for sharing and enjoy you outdoor activities.

Lovely, honest review. Looking for a day van to take DIY gear over to France (property repairs), and camping in UK with dog and/or trail bike. Renault looks good.
Thanks. They're good reliable and rust free vans with plentiful spares and easy to work on. I found the bed idea great as it can stay in and use it as a works van at the same time.
I wouldnt have put car wheels on a van to be honest. DVSA are now coming down hard on vans the pull over for spot tests if they have non load rated car wheels or tyres. Where I live now ive seen DVSA and VOSA operating at lot. If they find a van with non load rated wheels or tyres they can seize the vehicle until the correct rated wheels and tyres are put on it. Plus non compliance can render a 2K fine. I do love the graphics you did and those lights "eyebrows" have personalised the van nicely.

5:50 Rock and roll bed/seats apparently are NOT comfortable
to sit or sleep in. They compromise both facets.

Yes, plod seem to have a bee in thier bonnets now about this, and insurance companies have cottoned onto the fact and are refusing claims.
I've got vivaro version of it they are great vans just about to change the abs cable after watching one of your videos on how to do it
They're good van. My abs took a bit of sorting but got there in the end. Good luck!

My Trafic was the 115bhp. The 18" BMW wheels fit nice but you need the wobble bolts to fit them correctly.

They were on it when I bought it but I think you can get them off ebay

Hi, all in mine cost about £250 - £300 for materials. That's the timber for the bed, sound insulation, insulation , carpet and vinyl flooring.
