Today, I camp behind an abandoned gas station in a nearly vacant ghost town, eat a MRE for dinner and provide a brief history lesson on the town of Orogrande, New Mexico.

Stealth camping is more practical than wilderness camping because it puts you in practice in how to survive homelessness. Anyone can wind up homeless.

Yes sir I think all your content is awesome and done so well in each of its different situations I take something from each one! It’s great to see you out there doing a stealth camp and bringing us top quality survival content. Your hand looks great and I’m so glad you are using both cause watching your one hand survival videos had to be not only stressful but just down right inconvenient to deal with! But being that said I know it’s important to deal with it in a survival situation cause you never know when you could lose the use of a hand or a foot and you have to overcome that to survive! Thanks again James great video as always take care and God bless.

Hey James! Hanging out on the back porch of a ghosted gas station in Orogrande, now that's what I call stealth. Even if someone found you there, they'd probably just blow it off and consider you a transient. MRE's...some are good, some not so much. In the desert with no jacket at night, brave soul you are. Thanks for the work and video, always fun to tag along. See ya next time..

Very pleased with your content as always, and I'm impressed with how you have developed your skills, both your outdoor skills, and your cinematography. I wear a Blue Jean Duster during the cool days between winter and spring helps with a vest under it to keep me warm enough from winter and cooler days before spring. I bet it would be lightweight enough to either have a mod attachment like paracord in a patter to attach a jacket on the side or top of the bag and stay around when you don't need it. In all this was a good video with information on where you're at which is always awesome to hear on. Abandoned areas are always fun to look around and check out but you always wonder what all happened before it became abandoned. FYI on finding a duster without having all out on price just go to Goodwill that's where I found mine during a summer several years ago. God bless ya James.

It's probably already been mentioned, if not here, then in past videos, but I highly recommend adding a GI poncho liner to your cold weather kit. It will add minimal weight, but make the nights a lot more bearable when combined with your wool blanket. Surplus liners are plentiful and inexpensive. Just don't get it close to an open flame!

Living here in England, just outside London, South of the River Thames, stealth camping is all we can pretty much do. SHTF situation, it's good to practice (as you said) with different scenarios. In your case, the desert, here it would be small clumps of woodland locally. No gas station...we would have to find another way to procure water, especially difficult in the summertime. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially with today's current climate. I've been trying to source footage from the Vietnam era on how they were able to cook off grid, while at hhe same time not giving their positions away with smoke...to no avail. But practice practice practice is key on every point, in as many scenarios as possible for the areas you live. Hope you make more videos like this, knowledge is power...abd don't forget your bloody coat 😂 I wear my cowboy hats even here in England, don't care what anyone thinks, they're a hat with purpose. All the best buddy and a huge thumbs up from me 👍👍👍
