I don't use preferred pronouns because it is a lie. If someone has gender dysphoria they should understand that is a psychological condition that they have, and that is why they feel at odds with reality. Nobody should be compelled to cater to their delusions. This issue starts with them and shouldn't be made to be the concern of anyone else.

Yes. This is where I split paths from Dawkins. He suggests that we ought to call people who have gone through with a full transition by their preferred pronouns. I'm not saying we are not allowed to call people by their pronouns. If you want to go ahead but there should not be no etiquette around it. The speaker's preferences are no less important than the delusional person's.
If the mentally ill person cannot handle the real world they can be placed in an asylum for their protection.

Yes I know sex and gender are different, and yes I know about dsds and extra chromosomes, but none of that changes the fact that the plumbing goes in either one direction or the other in relation to producing the only two types of gametes that there are in mammalian reproduction. Yes I know about asexual reproduction and some species can change sex to increase the likelihood of reproductive success, but we are mammals, we can’t/dont do that, and note that when we artificially attempt to do so we are rendered infertile and the likelihood of reproductive success is reduced to zero.
