- A demonstration as to another reason why Yamaha Jet Boats outsell the competition...simply put, storage. In this video, I challenge any other boat owners of comparable sized boats to store unseen as much safety and recreational equipment on board.

I cannot believe what I just saw. All that stuff goes into this Yamaha??? NO WAY!!?? I mean, I see it but I can't believe it.
I *used to* have a 20ft bowrider. 4.3L mercruiser I/O. Everytime we go out on boating, we always had to jump over the bags and shoes and stuff all over the place. We had to hang fenders and jackets on the bimini, Had to tuck snack bags etc under captain's seat. And we had no place to store trash. Terrible.
This is what I needed to see. I'm pulling the trigger on Yamaha Jetboat.
JWC, I agree. Just be mindful that in 2019 Yamaha changed the hull design on their 19ft. models. The new design provides more walkable space in the helm area, but unfortunately less storage. A used 2018 might be a good option, compare the two. Be well, Leon.
@@CaptainLeonsBoatingandMore I am in a process of buying a 2012 Yamaha SX190 now. Your video was actually one of the biggest inspirations for my decision to buy a Yamaha SX190. I'm gonna need your advice on maintenance and other tips. Thanks a bunch!!
@@jwc3104 Good luck JWC, most of the maintenance needs and other tips for that craft can be found on my channel within my other videos. Feel free to reach out with any questions as they arise. All the best, Leon.
Great episode. You just made me a Yamaha customer. Hope they thank you. Awesome stuff man.
Your the best UA-camr
Thanks, and thanks for watching!
heheheehe! Thanks for the great video and music. I plan on buying an AR190 when i get back and now I know how much I could put in those storage. Absolutely Great video
Very cool! I have a 2014 SX192. I know exactly what your saying... I just can't articulate it in a video as awesome as you did. Top notch.
bought a used SX190 a couple months ago and your videos have been awesome to watch man. awesome attitude and content, hope all is well with you bud.
Thank you DB, that means a lot to me. Creating these videos are work, but comes with great satisfaction that folks enjoy watching them, and they are helpful. Peace bro!
I have to say I have watched this video numerous times and still find it amazing. When I first started looking at jet boats it was mainly Chaparral and Glastron. When I first looked at a Yamaha I think it was one of their AR models and it turned me off because of the side facing seat and I knew my wife wouldn't like that LOL so I didn't look at Yamaha anymore. So I zeroed in on Glastron. But on the continuous hunt for more information on the best boat I have course found your videos and others on all Yamaha models and can surely say that our first boot will be in sx195. You've got some great videos, some even more detailed than boat test or boating magazine videos. Keep them coming. I look forward to making some of my own someday.
Hey Matt, thanks for the kind words. The wife and I were also not fond of the bench seat in some models, glad we have the two captains chairs. You will love your SX195, beautiful boat with amazing storage your wife will love. We are wrapping up 4 seasons of trouble free pleasure:). Looking forward to your videos.
I have a 2008 212x. The storage on these boats is nothing short of crazy. Nice video.
Thanks Mark, wow a 212x from 2008, still running good?
@@CaptainLeonsBoatingandMore
Runs great. I've never had an issue with it.
Yes indeed. Yamaha should give you something! Great video!
Wow, awesome video! I would never thought there would be that much storage.
It is incredible Charles, we love it.
Charles Hogg
I looked at the SX195 yesterday at the Detroit boat show. Couldn't believe how much storage there was under every seat.
Edit: SX195, not 195SX
As a 19.5' Bayliner owner... all I have to say is... SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Seriously?? That is awesome!
Awesome video, thanks for taking the time! Been researching for a few years and I have narrowed down to YAMAHA and this really helps me understand the storage.
Glad you like the video, we love our boat!
This was a great video and loved the music. We just purchased a 2020 Yamaha 195S last week. Can't wait to take delivery at the end of February.
Awesome Boat! Enjoy it! I have lots of Yamaha based maintenance and mod videos on my UA-cam channel. Subscribe if you like, thanks.
Great video! Love you strategic planning!
Super useful thanks!
Noticed Sound Beach on the boat. That is where I grew up!
Very cool, small world. You will certainly enjoy this video I created, give it a watch: ua-cam.com/video/PvLG11RHOi4/v-deo.html
hahaha awesome video man! got the boat, the drone! all the toys! Cheers
Great video and very informative!! Nice boat by the way 👍
Thank you sir and thanks for watching.
My 15’ 212SS packs well also.. Hadn’t needed to go as far as you but well done!👍👍
Best yamaha sx192 video ever!!
Thanks Chunli, much appreciated!
👍🏼 So much storage room for its size; great video
Very impressive! My first boat was an 18' Rinker, and only had storage for necessities, my second boat was a 21' four Winn's, didn't have much storage either, except for the cuddy cabin. Been looking for a nice used Yamaha 212 now, but might go for a used 195 now that I see the amount of storage these things have.
Ryan, in 2019 there was a hull redesign for the 19ft.Yamaha. It now has a bigger feel in side, but has less storage, just be aware of it. Still a great boat!
Leon your vids are superb, great sense of humor and informative! Just bought a 2018 SX195. Yamaha really should send you some swag brother
They actually recently did, a sweet Magma Grill for the boat. I was shocked, but grateful. Glad you like the videos!
Yeah Yamaha throw the man a bone and a t-shirt & cap for the great promo!
Storage and engine access is one of the reasons I bought my 2005 Cobalt 200. The engine hatch is the whole width of the stern. I can lift the hatch and sit in the engine bay on either side of the engine and work on it. I can also store a TON of stuff in the boat. The back rests for the bow area lift, and you can actually climb inside of the storage area.
Not the best quality photo, but it gives you an idea i.imgur.com/I5lF3LW.jpg
Cobalt is a beautiful boat, sounds like a nice set up you have, is it an I/O? When we went boat shopping we could not find anything close in storage and seating than what we bought, sounds like you did great.
Amazing stuff! Nice work on the video ☺️
I love the drone shots.
Me too! Thanks
i have the ar190 and they have even more storage because the ar190 does not have a passenger seat it has a j seat that wraps around from the radio to the back of the drivers seat. so you get additional storage under the seat where the passenger seat is on the sx190
Was looking ay a Tahoe 700 today and because of this video I just laughed at the lack of storage it had compared the the Yamaha.
Very nice... im getting my 2020 in 2 weeks...
You guys are way too funny love your videos I just got my 2020 AR 240 I’ll say they should be sending you a few boxes of Yamaha gear
Theo, congrats on the purchase of a beautiful boat! When Yamaha did hear about this video they ended up sending me some sweet swag, it was very decent of them. Says a lot about the company. Safe boating!
That was an etraordinarily well done video. Gave me some ideas for my own Sx190! Thank you for putting this together. Those thrust vectors help with low speed maneuverability don't they? Yamaha has truly made an economical low maintenance fuel efficient awesome boat. The only thing I can fault it for is that it doesn't handle wake/chop very well. Beats you up on a rough lake!
You think wake chop is bad in a jet boat. You should try a 20 foot bass boat. Had one for 20 years. powered with a Merc 200 EFI OB. Would smack the living daylights out of you at speed.
Leon enjoy all the videos- When you get a chance show how you retreive, load your boat onto the trailer.
Good idea Frank!
Great videos.
Thanks
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼 I see a Yamaha sx model in my near future!!!
Just so you know, the 2019 and on SX190 has a new design. More helm space but storage was sacrificed. Still a great boat!! Good luck.
Ha! Maybe…. I’ll settle for a T-Shirt. 😂
Nice finish!!!
Cool video
This was Benny Hill for a minute:)
Love this video.
Thanks Andre! It's one of my favs.
Well done sir!
Great video, just put a deposit down on a 2017 SX195, I think most of this is good organizing and placement choice of each item, likely some trial and error to get to your current placement choice of each item. Maybe actually show each location and placement for each item. Thanks. Great videos.
Awesome, I just bought a 2014 SX 240 HO....still getting used to her.
i placed the order for an AR190, wont be able to use it till next season but im looking forward to go on hudson river by the NYC, i hope it wont be hard for me since im a first time boater. How good you boat handle the water and how was the fuel consumption?
The boat does well but you need to know your limits, as the Captain of your vessel you need to realize when things are getting unsafe. My trips in the Hudson, NY Harbor and the East River have all been fine, but those waters can get rough on certain days.On this full day adventure we used 20 gallons: ua-cam.com/video/nBySAfhUurk/v-deo.html
Yes I’m going to take it slow, I watched this video too.. it looks so much fun 20gallon is not bad as the boat can hold 40gallon so I be ok coming from Jersey raritan River
Thanks for all your winterization video and tips
Calling Captain Leon 📣 Did you weigh all your gear and cargo? I have so much stuff on my boat I decided to weigh it so I can balance the load front to rear, port to starboard. It's all your fault for posting this great video! It's amazing how much these boats hold...
Never weighed it Rob, just load her up and send it! :)
@@CaptainLeonsBoatingandMore Thanks..I weighed all my gear and it's over 400 lbs.....
@@Rob-Oh wow that adds up
i wish i had that Boat ! MAybe one day
It starts with a goal Jason, hope you see it come to reality one day!
Great video! How is the 195 for people space? My wife, two kids and I are all between 6’1 and 6’3. Enough room to move around and stretch out?
Erwin, we average a foot shorter than you guys..lol. As taller folks there would be less room, but with the four of you you should be ok. We often have 6 people with us. If its a full day on the boat with no beach stops then having four is more comfortable. You would need to bring the family to a dealer and climb into one to see. Good luck.
Cool drone shots 👍
I just cringe when you have to take it all out and clean off all saltwater, sand, sun screen etc. and put it all away
MedjOOL Maker i
Brilliant
Thanks Michael, and thanks for watching!
Well just stumbled across this video - you do a better job than half the muppets (english for idiots) on TV. Excellent keep em cumin.....
impressive
Thanks Chad!
You are the greatest wow so professional
Only thing that would have made this better is some scantily clad women running around and a little old bald man. God bless Benny Hill.
Did they even email you with thanks?
Not as of yet, still waiting
so did Yamaha ever reach out?
Yes, as a matter of fact they were very pleased. They sent me a magma bbq, t shirts and some other swag. I was shocked, but this video sold them a lot of boats.
Now go home and get your fuckin shinebox
Last guy who said that ended up sleeping with the fish, Fuggettabout it Vic...lol.
