I loved this. I wish that the judges that I've battled for what have done this. That would've juiced me for the battle. absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the post.
Hey Guys tickets for the JUSTE DEBOUT STEEZ are HERE!!! for more infos log on FB: JUSTE DEBOUT - PAGE OFFICIELLE or on twitter Juste Debout Thanks you for posting the vidéo Sagami
Hrmm explains why he got alot of attention in Juste Debout this year... He is subtle and has been really powerful since 05. He has proven many times he is Kite's equal. Of course Kite's style is more standout than Madoka but looking at Madoka closely, you'll see why Kite has been partnering with him all these years. His techniques, his flavor. He is still winning battles left and right. Whether national or international.
True, he barely changed his style but does not mean he hasn't significantly improved. He is currently much cleaner, has greater musicality and pretty much more mature in dance. Don't mistake a conversion of style as improvement. He has beaten Kite, Gucchon and many other great dancers in recent years before and that definitely goes to show that he has improved and progressed just as much as much as them.
I take nothing away from kei's skill, but go watch his clips since '03 and tell me he's improved as much as the other dancers in his generation. ex. guchon, kite, acky. etc. This is sense, i put an effort to be consistent, lets hope you do as well when you critic others.
You are correct in that he has improved significantly in control, musicality, and expertise when compared to his former self. Imo, this improvement is not as large as the strides his other peers has made. I'm not current on their actual battle ratios, but Guchon (from year '05 and up) and kite ('08 and up) will win 7/10 battles against Kei. I've seen their progress in a span of about 10 years and would say this is approx. accurate.
If you intend to calculate dance with numbers. Well there is only so much you can gauge. Sure perhaps a certain amount of isolation and technique can be judged. However even then these numbers are calculated, it is calculated in your perspective and in your personal judgment. you'd assume Kei will lose 7/10 of the battles when in fact that hasn't happened. Are you implying that popping has barely improved 1% since 05? Because heck, Madoka won alot of comps then and ever since.
Kite is primarily partnering with him because they're long time friends and they created a group together. Madoka is no where near the level that kite is on even though he started earlier and has been battling longer. Like i said, Madoka stopped progressing since '05. Taking nothing away from this man as he was Japan's finest along with Tetsu-G from '01-05. He is good but has also been the reason why they lost a few major battles. And how many battles has Mad won by himself, solo? Very few
@esestlloco yep agree but watch juste debout 2006 niako was ripping everybody and now his technique and skill and musicality just can't be beaten i think
Are you as good of a popper as Madoka? Okay fine, perhaps half as good? If you are then good for you. Have you danced with him or even seen him live in recent years and back in 05? Ever tried battling or even cypher with him? Competed in competitions he competed in and past even the prelims? Do you know Madoka and Kite personally? If not, making claims as big as you are is pretty questionable and pretty much based on your opinion.
And do you think that you can't compare Popping with Locking? LOL, you're the nonsense critic man, P-lock is for me the best locking dancer now, but you'll never see P-lock doing waves or boogaloo movements like Kei, and you'll never see Kei with P-lock's skill, Kei is a popping master of his generation and P-lock is a locking master in his generation too, then, you can compare both as dancers

Niako deserved it. He's one of the craziest dancers I have ever seen in my life. Props to this man.

Kei is how I envision a Japanese Samurai in Dance Form. Smooth, quick, mysterious.

maybe you're right about kei... but your first comment ran down kei to praise P-lock... consistent to be so... i don't agree with that
On a side note, madoka has not improved 1% since '05 lol.
James brown - body heat
P-lock is a beast in what he does but looks like a child
