the product page on the official site specifically mentions being able to share date between players using D-Link. we will be testing to see if this functionality currently exists. thanks again for your comment.
Hello oostcoast, thanks for your message. We are looking into the features you discussed in your comment. On the Denon DJ site it does list a feature on this unit where you can share info between two players. This requires a special ethernet crossover cable plugged into the D-Link slot. I am also checking on the USB hub comment. Thanks.
Question if I may. Is the platter of the DN-S1200 plastic or is it all metal with a plastic disc on top for handling purposes. Also, is the platter have a sturdy feel? Thanks!
@zetney214 hi m8, if you link the two decks together via the d-link, and put the hard drive or usb flash stick in the rear of one of the decks, then both decks can share the one hard drive. if you watch the video again he says that in there around the 3.30 mark. you could also link the two decks together then usb out to laptop run something like vdj and again run from one hard drive
I understand that only the hs5500 can share music between two players through D-link. With s1200 you share your keyboard only. The s1200 doesn't support usb hub, only hs5500 and hd2500 support hubs, up to 4 endpoints. My question, does the s1200 support mp3 cd's? If not, is it possible to add this feature with a firmware update?
please someone answer, my denon dns1200 has 110v written on the back.. ive used it with 240v before and nothing happened but it was just a couple of min.. so should i keep on using it with 240v or what?! please answer.
quick question - - im trying to use a flash drive. but after i plug it in --> hit source the text "Create 0.0%" keeps popin up everytime i try to select something with the parameters. i let it run for 30minutes but nothings changed ... whats am i doing wrong ?
could someone help me out? Can you share a USB Drive between the two decks? I.E mix two songs, both from one USB drive? or do i need two usb drives? thanks
There is a plugin available to registered users of VDJ to use the DN-S1200. It also is a single channel stereo sound card as well.
The DN-S1200 can be used for a few programs to control. It has midi-interface. Very nice!
@AcerOner Thanks for watching our video! The free headphones match the system. They are the DENON DN-HP500, not some cheap off brand giveaways!

The platter is very sturdy. It is plastic, but it didnt feel like it was in danger of breaking.

@zetney214 Of course you can do it, with the d-link crossover cable, you can use the same keyboard external hard disk in booth units...
