No. If you regularly have to drive on unmetalled roads or similar the AWD model is worth it, otherwise just stick to the 2WD one (unless you want the plug-in, which is AWD as standard).
With a tow capacity of 1100 kg (braked) it's not too bad, but if you get the equivalent Sorento, and spec the diesel engine, you can tow up to 2500 kg (braked).
@@BuckleUpShow yeh that’s what i mean, it’s no good for towing a caravan. I’ve currently got a 2021 Santa Fe 2.2, brilliant tow car, looks like I’ll be sticking with it.
Only a middling 5/10 on the JasperThigh scale this time. Baggy trousers with phone in pocket. Oh dear. #JasperThighAppreciationSociety UPDATE Shorts at the end. Score amended to 8/10
He did wear shorts when we went up the mountain but unfortunately, no decent footage of his sumptuous thighs was captured. We will try harder next time.
Love Huyndai and adore my Santa Fe. New one looks ace but if it can't tow then it's no good. I'll be looking elsewhere for when we require a new vehicle. Shame!
@@BuckleUpShowBrexit is an excuse, nothing else. You think Brexit makes a car 50% more expensive than in the US & Australia.....BS! It's been that way long before Brexit. When the ranger raptor came out it was over £50k and at the time I stood looking at an F150 raptor in the US & it was $63k and it's a way better car than the 2.0l diesel the UK got. Stop making excuses for your little manufacturer freebies and start asking the questions that really hit the consumer. Like why a Volvo dealer I know of went out and stuck £15k overnight on every XC90 in their forecourt during COVID!
Different import taxes, im not 100% sure where these are produced, but if it's in Europe then the eu has made it more expensive to ship to the UK, for us to get a better deal we would have to renegotiate Again, same as cars made her and shipped to Europe, that's why the guys mention brexit, the us and Australia made deals that would make import taxes cheaper, it's the way it is now.
Reminds me of the buddy reviews they have been doing in the US for the last decade. Those views though were amazing. Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Would you say 4wd is worth it over 2wd for mostly normal tarmac driving?
No. If you regularly have to drive on unmetalled roads or similar the AWD model is worth it, otherwise just stick to the 2WD one (unless you want the plug-in, which is AWD as standard).
I like it, but it’s lacking the whole selling point for a lot of previous Santa Fe buyers, it’s not a capable tow car.

@@BuckleUpShow1100 kg my berlingo petrol can tow that its nothing
1100kg is very poor! Other SUVs that size can tow 3500kg, as can nearly every pickup.

I thought Jasper was going to blow away on top of that dam
It was INCREDIBLY windy
When am I taking either on a date? 👀😇
What sort of date do you have planned?

Sante Fe over the Kia EV9?
Depends whether a full EV fits your lifestyle or not
@@BuckleUpShow currently have the EV6 so full EV works well for me.
Then I think we have our answer

What do you tow with yours?
Thanks to Pete and Bryan for the rude awakening 😂
It was all Jasper’s fault
Why aren't you asking Hyundai why the top spec model is £40k in the US and Australia and nearly £60k in the UK?
Because we're already aware of Brexit
@@BuckleUpShow Australia and the US had Brexit? 🤦🏻
Brexit goes a way to explaining why it is more expensive in the UK - not sure how you're missing that point here?

I really want to like it, but that back end just ain’t it 🫤
But it gives you such a wide opening
