Lovely to hear that theme music once again. It used to drift into my room from the living room after I was put to bed.
Not only are the old time radio shows great, wholesome entertainment, they can also take you back in time and rekindle old memories. Thank you for your work posting these Classics for all to enjoy.
Have always enjoyed listening to old radio shows and books on tape. This is a new series for me and enjoy listening at work.
Love listening to your shows, just a show I have never heard of is mr,. Keen traser of missing persons , thank you for posting the new show I have never heard of before,. Thank you, thank you!
The Bob & Ray version, "Mr. Trace, keener than most persons." 😊
Love the description of his "Spinster Secretary".
Love Mr Keen!! Thanks!
Thank you!!
I listened to Mr.Keen with my parents as a kid. It was a favorite of mine. Even after we got our first TV in'51 we still listened to our favorite radio shows. I would get to stay up late on Tuesday to listen to Fibber and Molly. The best part of that show for me was when he would open the closet and everything would fall out. My Dad was in the Navy with the fellow who played several different characters on the show. His name escapes me without looking it up. I had an 8x10 autographed picture of the two of them in their dress blues. They were drinking buddies 😅
Awesome! thanks for sharing great memories and stories!
Thanks. Fun.
What a shame so many of these episodes have disappeared, oral history is lost
Sometimes they are found decades later. Over 50 years after WW2, in one of Moscow's warehouses, Adolf's private vinyl collection was found. So, there's hope.😅
Do you think any of these lost Classics will ever be found?
If the scripts were found, perhaps they can be redone
Thank you for posting. I had heard of this show, but never got a chance to listen to an 1:18:38 airing. I'm of the TV era, not radio era. I grew up listening to stories from my mom about her and her father listening to the radio as they sat around the coal stove and he baked potatoes wrapped in foil in the stove. Listening to this I can see them listening to this and so many other shows. Again, thank you and I have subscribed.
Welcome aboard! so glad you've joined us!
