hey chicks!!! In today’s video I can hopefully give you some study motivation by showing you some of my best study hacks + how I study for my exams as a senior in college!! don’t forget to leave me a comment letting me know what your study routine is like / study hacks ❣️
For when my professors post the slide shows online, I actually type them out before class, so I have the notes already done and can add what my prof says
Or you can print the slides small so you can write extra notes next to it. I print 2 or 3 slides on one A4 paper. On my laptop I have the option to put writing lines next to it. Very useful!
Also I find that college students love to type their notes. I highly recommend writing them instead. You will remember the material more when you write it down.
P.s ILYAG I agree for when you have time. But the reason college students type them is for convenience and efficiency. If you have two major tests tomorrow, would you want to spend 4 hours of your time doing written notes, and have less time to study, or type your notes for 2 hours and save 2 hours more for studying and reviewing other notes. I would probably want the time efficient option. I totally understand, and I even agree 100 percent that writing your notes helps you remember the material. In reality though, you usually just don’t have time.
A quick tip on note-taking for classes that don't offer powerpoint presentations is to look online for powerpoint presentations that correspond with the textbook you're using for the class. Many professors will use the same presentation offered by the book. My accounting class is solely verbal lecture but because all of the presentations that correspond to the textbook are online, I use those to study with! It helps so much!
Hi, I wanted to ask you about quizlet, how do you get motivated to make sets and everything, because sometimes I get lay to writting a bunch of notes on quizlet. PLEASE help me with ADVISE
I actually hand write my notes twice! I found that it sticks to me better than intense studying. I will write my notes in order then write my notes in the reverse order.
Another tip that is useful for when professors dont post any notes or powerpoint online is to record your lecture either using your phone with voice memos (if you have an iphone) or if not get an actual recorder or there is tons of apps. And that way you can write whatever you missed that your professor said later when you listen to your lecture again. This is mostly how I take notes in college and its been effective for me because you are getting exactly what the prof is saying in your notes.
I am not the best at learning on the computer. So, I will make flashcards with word & definition or question & answer (depends on subject). Also, I will re-write stuff a bunch (yes, I know it is a lot of work). But, I mostly use flashcards. My flashcards I will write in pen and highlight keywords so I can remember most of the definition or answer. P.S Adrienne, your tips help so much! Also, you are so gorgeous! Ily! 💓
A great tip for studying (this isn't a tip for how to remember things this is good for if you tend to procrastinate or get distracted easily) Get that Google extension where you can block certain websites for a certain amount of time which can stop you from going on social media or UA-cam or anything like that when your studying and you can't undo it so it's very helpful for me when studying because I block websites so I have no choice but to study (I also put my distractions with my parents and they will only give them to me once I've shown them the work I did
In powerpoint there's actually an option to print the slides in an outline format without the squares and boxes! it looks just like you took the time to copy them into a word document, but all you have to do is print them! I hope this helps for the future:)
i really enjoy watching your videos! they are the one thing i look forward to, when I am getting home after class and want to relax . LOVE FROM GERMANY :) 💕
I am contracted to do 20hrs of work every fortnight but my work has been giving me 25-30 hours a week and it is slowly killing me. I can't quit because having this job will really help me in the future. I'm working as a healthcare assistant and I am doing nursing so it's very good but the workload is just too much and sometimes I can handle it but not without sleep deprivation :(
Don't bite off more than you can chew... It's a bit too late for me this semester! I had the brilliant idea of taking biochemistry, physical chemistry /and/ calculus 3 in the same semester and I have all 3 finals within 2 days. o.O
Hey guys! I thought I'd give my best advice for note-taking & studying! This past year I have adapted my note -taking skills and it has helped incredibly! Most of my professor post presentations ahead of time, so I always copy those notes into a word document before the lecture occurs. I also leave about a 2 inch margin on the right side of the document in order to dedicate that space toward any additional things my professors mention in class (i.e. examples, further definitions, etc.)This allows me to focus on what the professors are putting more emphasis on. I also record my lectures & listen to them before exams so that I can pick up on anything I missed the first time. I also really enjoy utilizing the chapter objectives of textbooks because they are great review tools for what is more important within certain topics.I hope you guys do well in school!!!
whyyyyy do you have to graduate and leave us!! 😂☹️ we love these videos!! i’m glad but sad at the same time! graduate, but don’t 😂😂 i’m just joking! you worked hard to make it to senior year. i’m struggling and i’m only a freshman😩😩😩
I’m not from US so my school system is different and I’ve never understood what’s freshman senior junior, can someone explain this please 😭 It’s been years and I still have this doubt
Ashley Gillett wow really?? My career is 5 years and a half but to most people it take 8 years because you can fail subjects. And medicine it’s 7 years. Every career it’s different wow
Almendra González Müller it’s 4 years for high school, usually 4 years college(undergrad), Medicine/ law is 4 years of college plus another 4 years of medical/law school, if you want to do graduate school that’s another 2 or 4 years on top of undergrad depending on the course
So I have a professor that gives us a study guide that we have to fill out but it’s all definition based but the test are application based. What do you do for that???
useful video loved it but fro next times I prefer adding more videos of like you studying and a voiceover on that or maybe add text cuz I loose track when its only talking without point or smth

Quizlet is my best friend when I have an exam or quizzes!
MiKayla Rose SAME!!
I will write my notes in order then write my notes in the reverse order.
love this :)
I usually color code and use the app quizlet. I save the harder material for last so I can have more time to fully understand it

looove this one! thank you for sharing 💖
That’s actually illegal here. Is it allowed where you are?
@@bomathys324 in the Netherlands (were I live) the advised us to record the classes !
For verbal teacher who doesn’t post slides, I recommend recording the course so you can play it back and write down what you missed!
I am not the best at learning on the computer. So, I will make flashcards with word & definition or question & answer (depends on subject). I like to make Flashcards and listen to music whilst making notes since I get distracted easily because of background noise !
Who else is in quarantine and wanting some motivation....😛😛😛😛
I’m not from US so my school system is different and I’ve never understood what’s freshman senior junior, can someone explain this please 😭 It’s been years and I still have this doubt
Freshamn is 1st year
Sophomore is 2nd year
Junior is 3rd year
Senior is 4th year
Ashley Gillett every career has 4 years in total or what?
Most colleges are 4 years, but others are only 2.
Ashley Gillett wow really?? My career is 5 years and a half but to most people it take 8 years because you can fail subjects. And medicine it’s 7 years. Every career it’s different wow

Take advantage of any Chapter reviews in the textbook!!!
love this!
So I have a professor that gives us a study guide that we have to fill out but it’s all definition based but the test are application based. What do you do for that???
you need to teach yourself how to apply the definitions into different scenarios!
I needed this
I'm preparing to go to CPCC for a program they have.
