omg! I can relate to everything! haha. I'm Nigerian born and raised there came to the US at 11. middle school wanted to do all the things kids my age did back then like sleep over go to the mall go to birthday parties ect. I wasn't allowed to it made me really sad and depressed. I'm 22 now graduated from college working still living with my parents and I'm miserable as hell I'm socially awkward can't relate well with people don't know how to respond to things no experience in many common sense stuff. I want to move out but it's always we did this and that for you and this is how you repay us. I can't even be home late like 9 or after dark mind you I'm 22. can't sleep at a friends place. can't date non Nigerian (currently dating a Chinese American cuz idgaf anymore) they yell at me say mean stuff try to guilt me but nope not breaking up with him it's almost 4 months now. he makes me happy I deserve it

Same with my mother when I was in my teenager years, when she slap me and i cried. And she say wait wait I heard like ur crying, if u don't stop crying, I will slap u now. Hahahha, like she didn't slap. And say swallow it before i slap u again, and i stand silent with eyes full of waters, my heart up and down😂😂😂😂 and when she was learning me how to cook and when i asker her if I can put sugar for the vegetable and she say yes do it, and when I about to put the sugar, ooh my goodness, then I heard she scream very loud, if u do it I will slap u with the spoon. I was like huh. She used to learn me to put sugar for vegetables when she start learn me to cook, thus I thought for every vegetables I must put sugar. But she also didn't say no for this one not, not for every vegetables. I was very very confused when I learned to cook, I thought in myself when I grew up I will never cook, I will buy food, it is so heavy to cook, it was take me hours to finish cooking and not that my food tasted sweet like my mother. But through the years it comes very easy for me to cook, some of the food I do better then her now. Only the food from the village she do better then me. She didn't learn me all of them.

However he would force me to do a lot of hard labor stating, "if you don't study this is what your life will be like for the rest of your life." Like your dad he would dish out praises to his friends and our relatives, but once they're not around the insults start. Great video.
