Let me first come to terms that I can't find anything wrong with this video and that disturbs me. I can usually find flaws in your videos but this one appears to be perfect. I do have questions that must be answered. I didn't realize you have the XP 10. I do as well but you are a superior paddler than me. I have yet to be able to roll my kayak but it's on my bucket list. Questions: How far did you have to walk to your launch after parking the Hippie Wagon? I assume at lower levels the rapids would be more intense with more rocks & structure exposed. This looked like perfect conditions for a more leisure paddle. Were you leaning back because of back pain? Did you paddle with skeg down or up? I usually ride with it down since it's spring loaded. Thank you for finally producing a superior video for your channel that I could enjoy watching.
You are certainly disturbed. I've paddled this boat 4 times in assorted videos so not knowing I had one is on you. Appreciate the lack of flaws, but they're there. I've wanted an XP10 for years and was envious of yours considered stealing it. My skill was corrected with AI to make me look good, but I actually turned over 5 times and swam. Just don't turn over and you'll have no need to roll. The foot shuttle was 2.2 miles with the river distance at 2.7. At lower levels it would be more of a hassle with dragging because this river is wide and has many potential routes. I lie back just to stretch and get out of the way of the camera. 32 degrees is not perfect but I don't mind the cold. Skeg up here but have found that it is helpful in long pools, then pull it up in faster water. Watch the video on the Buffalo River and the Illinois Bayou from recently...same boat used used. Elita has an XP9.
Guessing you put in at Wolf Pen. Water was flowing so not surprised you got to Redding so fast. Should have hiked up to Spy Rock since you finished up early...lol. More cool views. Thanks.
Put in 2.7 miles upstream (Low Bridge)...Wolf Pen is way on up river. I visited Spy Rock for the first time a month or so ago...not impressive and I will never see it again, most likely. It's one of those over visited places due to its easy access. No, thank you SpinBob.
@@NoTrail didn't realize it was that far up. I've never measured it. The Redding Loop is our conditioning trail in warmer weather. It doesn't get too overgrown but can in places. We walk out to Spy Rock to catch a good breeze to cool down. We go early so we don't run into many folks. But I hear what you're saying. Congrats on getting the new K1 m2. I'm jealous.
@@travelingwithspinoza Good loop, I guess...never done it. I have a K-1. Criggsngrains is getting a K-1 Mark 2.
Pretty hard to hide a banana dude !! Was that some bamboo there ? Beautiful morning !! Water was moving pretty good ! Nice float down the river ! You look pretty good in a skirt bro !! I have reported you to the federal authorities for trespassing!! You will soon be behind bars wishing you was on the river !!
Happy Easter dude 🐰
Oh, it was hidden. Water could have been higher. I wear skirts daily to fit in with the times. I will see you in prison, maybe we will be cell mates. You will, of course, be my bi....Happy weekend of eggs.
@@NoTrail if I’m cell mates with you I’ll probably hang myself with the bedsheet, 😂 lol
Looks like a awesome paddle
