    I am 50 something years old and been involved in farming ever since I was a child my brother has family farm which has grown to 1800 acres and has been the farm bureau president for decades. With that being said we have both become better growers and producers by watching your channel and learning things from you folks. This is a very educational and relaxing entertainment as well. You do an amazing job balancing your life and this channel keep up the good work!

    I’m a California gardener and my wife and me are huge fans of the Veggie Boys (and Girls!).
    One thing we agree on is that we’d love to see some cooking with your various crops. For instance all the varieties are peppers 🫑 ! 🌶️ we don’t know how to use some of them but they look delicious. Have you ever given thought to maybe doing a special “harvest episode” with like a guest local chef? If y’all have some tasty ways to serve them, we’d love to know!

      @@vivianminney586 Right! Once Christmas is over, winter should be over!!😂 I live in Minnesota which is in the Upper Midwest on the US/Canadian border. Our winter temperatures are ridiculously cold! We see allot of single & low double digit below zero temperatures and numerous mid double digit temperatures below zero. We get quite a few severe winter storms lasting up to a week. During storms we can experience extreme cold advisories where temps are -25° to -40° below zero for days! Living here is proof of the love I have for my family.🥶
      Late spring, summer and autumn are magnificent seasons here in the land of 10,000 lakes. In addition to the lakes, we border one of the Great Lakes(Superior), some notable rivers start here including the mighty Mississippi. The land is heavily forested with some large open areas that are used for farming. Could you imagine dairy farming in temperatures I’ve described above? I don’t know how the cows don’t freeze to death?!
      I treasure every warm weather day I get and don’t rush seasons except winter.🤗

    I have been watching your video's for quite some time and I always enjoy all the working, planning and harvesting. It is amazing to see all the produce growing and maturing to selling. Yes there is the weather elements to cope with which I can imagine is very challenging at times as the plants are growing out in the open fields and they can get hammered to bits, but, as you say, they did very well during the storms. Wishing you all well, many blessings and kind regards. It must be great to come and shop in the farm shop, blessed people they are.

    several years ago I bought a cubanelle pepper locally to try because of your show. It was not hot, but it was not sweet at all. It had a mild bitter taste to it. I never tried one after that. You do look so much better. I was hoping it would be like a green pepper with a little heat to it
    BTW if you like the taste of jalapeno peppers but they are too hot then coat them with some oil and roast them in the over until the outer skin is most dark. This as a little roast flavor to it but cuts the heat WAY down. You can also buy pickled Jalapeno peppers in mild heat. Add them to eggs or scalloped potatoes or even mac and cheese. Just chop them up and throw them in. I did make the mistake of cooking with a jalapeno pepper I grew and did not water enough. Man did that tiny pepper pack a ton of heat. Water your peppers.

    • @Jomama02
      @Jomama02 21 день тому

    This is a true story
    When I was younger we always had a big vegetable garden. One year Dad planted white corn and yellow corn side by side. They cross pollinated and we had yellow and white on the same ear. Little did we know how years later that would be a thing. The year that happened was 1972 or 73. Also we had a pony he got out of the pasture. Got into the garden and walked through nibbling the tops off the corn We thought it was going to negatively affect the cotn. But the affect was opposite. The stalks were thicker and the ears much fatter. True story.

    You didn’t have any cotton to take off. When me had Hurricane Michael, it took all the cotton because it was loose and ready to pick. You might have seen some raw cotton in your field because the storms come into the gulf and take off in Georgia or Florida. Debby came to Georgia and Florida.
