Mindy, thank you for having Nancy on your podcast, it was a great "down to earth" talk that most podcast are missing these days. It was great to hear that she is bringing her talent back to the screen that is long over due, Though like most Mother's TOTALLY understand taking care of family first. I'm with Nancy in the fact that I was in awe of my daughter as well, and now she is 21 yrs old, GAH! LOL... Wow Mindy, this was a fantastic show!! Yes I feel a kinship with all of you because you are my peers. I was born in 1967 and The Facts of Life was relatable because you all were in my age range. Your show meant everything to me then and it does still now. So great to see you have Nancy on and its nice to get to know you two as real people beyond your characters.

Besides playing Jo in "The Facts of Life", Nancy McKeon was absolutely amazing in "Strange Voices".
Nancy is very right about how you, Mindy, were able to do a completely dramatic scene as the flip side to your comedic personality. I have found that most comedians transition to serious drama very well, while the reverse is rare. Examples: Tom Hanks, John Candy, Robin Williams and Jim Carrey to name a few.
Can’t believe I’m just now seeing this but wow, it was so great! I love The Facts Of Life so I especially loved hearing you guys talk about that time in your lives. Also interesting what you said about Nancy’s ability to cry - Anyone That truly watches her performances knows that those tears are coming from somewhere real. Those scenes on FOL with Jo and her teen boyfriend Eddie and when they decided not to get engaged or the scene where they broke up, those scenes and her teary eyes just broke my heart. You really felt that emotion so strongly. Such a great conversation with you guys! Thank you so much! 🥰❤️

Thank you Mindy for these podcasts. I remember watching reruns of The Facts Of Life when I was a kid on USA Network, then Nick At Nite and Hallmark Channel. I bought the complete series DVD set from Walmart a few weeks ago so now I have all the episodes. It's nice to hear that all of you had good experiences with doing that show and you keep in touch. You all turned out so well and successful.

Very pleasantly surprised when asked about 'misconception' she didn't say anything about not doing that 2001 reunion movie. Lol. Ended up a great call on Nancy's part yet she got a LOT of sh!t for not doing it. :-/. Many were going 'there' like they did towards Eve Plumb (Jan) when Nancy couldn't be sweeter & humble about FOL & as a person! What a gem of a woman & actress!

I am so glad, Mindy, that you mentioned Bonnie Bedelia again, because she is (unknowingly) an important part of my past. When I was a student at Pepperdine (the old campus), my drama group went to a stage play starring Bonnie Bedelia. It may have been my first professional stage play. I'm trying to remember what it was, because it was incredible. I always watched her career after that. I did some searching, and although I didn't find it listed starring her in the late 60's, I do think I came up with the play that I saw her in. I'm almost certain it was The Glass Menagerie, and it would have been in the period between 1966-1968 in Los Angeles. Ever since then, my ears (and heart) have perked up at the mention of Bonnie Bedelia. I was so happy when she joined a TV cast a couple of decades ago, and I got to watch her on a regular basis. I have also been a huge fan of Facts of Life, although Lisa Whelchel is the only one of your cast that I met in person. I used to go to The Church on the Way, and interacted with her at a couple of events there. Just remembered the ensemble TV show she was in a few years ago; it was Parenthood. I loved it!
i just have to say, Mindy, just the other day I stumbled upon a clip from FOL of you and the other FOL gals as old ladies still livin together in that house! LOL The lines were just hysterical!

HOW I just found this. Mindy, you´re a legend. You 4 gals are my best friends since I was 15 years old in 1996. A lot of love from Lima, Peru, my sweet Mindy.
Nancy was so good in that Hallmark commercial that I’d tear up each time I saw it …and I was her age at the time. I have enormous respect for her work ethic, willingness to study her craft after having spent a decade on a hit tv show as a young person. Enjoyed her in, “The Division.”
Glad she was able to devote the time away to her family. Wish more men and women took a break to do that. Welcome Back!
Mindy you and Nancy were my 2 faves on FOL. I still put on FOL for comfort sometimes. When I was in college (90s) I had VHS tapes of a nick at night marathon from the pilot episode.. I wore that thing out!!!

Stumbled onto this - what a great find!! I have been binging FOL and it’s crazy the connection these ladies have, I’m glad they all still have such a bond. You both are amazing actresses and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.

Congrats on Season 3! So great to see you lovely ladies. I was thrilled when I came across this podcast and this is my very first episode to watch! I am now a loyal follower/stalker. Ha. I want to add that my daughters (19 & 21) and I just binge watched Facts of Life over the holidays as they wanted to revisit a show that really did positively impact their teenage years! As a woman in the same age group as Mindy and Nancy and having grown up watching 'Facts', I really enjoyed this. My nieces used to tell me that I reminded them of 'Jo' on TFOL, in looks and personality. That was a huge compliment! And although I loved all the girls on the show, my favorite characters on the show was literally you two ladies: Mindy as Natalie and Nancy as Jo.
I was a bit of a tomboy, so I identified with 'Jo' but *loved* 'Natalie's sense of humor. As for the other two ladies, I think Kim is such a beautiful and classy lady and I identify with Lisa in "real life", as I, too, am a born-again Christian and have tremendous respect for her. Point being, you guys are part of many of our generation's growing up and you touch all of us, whether we are a 'Jo', 'Natalie', 'Tootie', 'Blair' or identify with you on some level in real life.
Thanks Mindy (and Christian!), for this. Thoroughly enjoyed this and will be coming back. (Also subscribed!).

The early 90s for me in the UK meant getting Sky TV for the first time which gave me access to so much American content (Paramount, Sky One etc) including Diff'rent Strokes, Family Ties, The Facts of Life. So I did quite literally grow up with these shows (with some of the best theme tunes ever made!) So seeing you ladies together and chatting is so amazing. Health and happiness to you both!

Facts of Life was my favorite show growing up, so glad I have it on DVD. I think social media has just been nasty in regards to actors and actresses over the years.
