    Class A+++ Classic Film, gave it 10 ☆'s out of 10 ☆'s.
    Hi-Rez quality very good, pic was sharp & clear & you gave us the full length w/out cutting it @ the end.
    (That was all greatly appreciated) ;-)
    I have some of Jack London's books and in the back of them is his biography.
    This film runs real close to his early years in life.
    To run it up until his death probably would have taken a movie of at least 3 hours + or a multiple parts mini series.
    He ran a hard life, drank a lot, abused his health & body and died much earlier than expected @ his Ranchhouse N the good ol State of Californication.
    ThnX 4gr8t upld & inclusion of the wonderfully done Eng Language Subs/Captions 4Us Hard Of Hearing/Handicapped Old Fogies. ;-D 🌹

    Ive read all of the best known novels and short stories of JACK LONDON. One of the great writers of his era or any era. Great authors make the world a little more bearable for us regular folk. And London was a true AMERICAN treasure for readers everywhere

    He was also a socialist, and advocated strongly for workers rights.

      unfortunately, his politics got him blacklisted during the McCarthy era.

    "Wars are getting scarcer and scarcer" the definition of scarce: "refers to the basic fact of life that there exists only a finite amount of human and nonhuman resources which the best technical knowledge is capable of using to produce only limited maximum amounts of each economic good." So, is war for the production of human resources? Right now we have wars going on, Jack needn't worry.

    My Mother RIP was raised by a black woman like this in North Carolina. She said there was a lot of love and sound advice from her. That was back in the 1930s. And my mom said there was no racism. Blacks and whites got along and were not forced to get along. Then troublemakers and politicians came down from the North and made trouble for everybody. The South was working out its problems and along come the Yankee Carpet baggers. They decided separate and equal was not an option, so they threw blacks and whites in the legal box and shook them all up. Results are self-evident today. Leave it to a segment of mankind that always wants to stir stuff up for their gain. Think about it.

      funny how the south vs. the north are taught their history, compare the history schoolbooks, north & south & you would see how the exact narrative you speak of is straight out of the souths schoolbooks... ie. american history taught in america totally depends on where youre brought up! very sad we were not all taught the same no matter where you lived, you get a much better idea of how it was by reading the newspapers from back then!

      The troublemaker was Martin Luther King Junior who was funded by Communists and a small minority population that I am not allowed to name.

      Maybe your mother was not racist..But what about the segregations that went on until.1964 when law ended it and yet it was not respected by many,many white citizens..

    Does anyone know what happened to the Liberty Ship with his name? I hope it survived the war!

    • @PizzaFLIX
      @PizzaFLIX  8 місяців тому +5

      The SS Jack London survived the war and was sold off privately in 1947 and renamed Christostomis, then sold again in 1948 to be renamed Nora. She kept that name until 1958 when a further sale saw her name changed to Bellatrix. Under that name she was scrapped in April 1968 at Spezia.

      Liberty ships were a one way voyage, They were thrown together almost one per day near the end of the war & not designed to withstand but the single transit over. They were unsung heroes of both theatres.
