Yamada was still worried about giving something too sweet because in episode 10 in the date, Ichikawa lied about not liking things too sweet
I love how the two of them tip toe around the truth "Did you get any chocolate?" "Did you give any chocolate?" ... "I didn't give any OBLIGATORY chocolate" lol.
Another adorable episode. It's awesome seeing Ichikawa grow in confidence, calling out 'Pick Up Artist' Senpai for his nonsense.
"It's OK to get the wrong idea." Best line this ep. And I thought it was painfully obvious after their conversation literally just earlier that day lol.
I love her wave after he figured it out as well. She's so goofy it's great. And the ending stealing Ichikawa from pick-up artist senpai. Who, for some reason, has a similar mindset as Adachi.

Both of them are super cute today! This might be the one of, if not THE greatest Valentines episode.
Nanjo Haruya finally got confronted with his twisted mindset by the shori king gigachad Ichikawa by expressing his experience towards Yamada. That silly wave he make, he knows that her wave is FOR HIM, and HE'S CLAIMING IT!
And alas, a farewell from Yamada to Pickup-Senpai. That's a heavy blow to take.
Now, we wait for the inevitable White Day arc.
As a manga reader, all I’ll say is that you are going to LOVE the White Day episode.
Seeing these dorks on the offensive is extra sweet and super dangerous. It’s only a matter of time, but it will take a lot of self love and acceptance from both sides to close that *really* small gap
Valentine’s Day episodes are always the best in romance anime and this one was no exception. They are both just adorable.
Also I believe this is one of the few shows that will actually have an episode focus on White Day, based on the conversation they had with the other boys. Can’t wait to see what they do on that day.
So this is a VERY interesting thing people are talking about it: in last ep, Yamada CUT the "obligatory chocolate" to give to Ichikawa. Obligatory chocolate is "giri" (in japanese). BUT BUT the katakana for "gi" can also be modified to look like "ki". In THIS EP, she gave him a chocolate with the katakana of "su".....if you put them together = "suki" (i like you).
This girl can be dumb in academic stuff but in Ichikawa's subject she scores 10/10 points😂
Pickup-pai suggesting that Ichikawa get lingerie was his last ditch effort to see if he can get with Yamada…creepy and messed up as that is.
Nevertheless, he was socially aware enough to realize that he has no chance and that she already likes our boy, even trying to stop Ichikawa before Yamada could hear.
At least, Senpai stopped Ichikawa from revealing his feelings directly to Yamada, right before dhe arrived, so he was a little bit helpful haha

Chapters 72-75 for this week. Still at a great pace.
We getting closer of both of them to actualize their feelings. While not in Yamada's head, she's just as nervous as him and can't fully say things outright. They both suffer from a little bit of doubt. Each to the other present as an individual who would have no problems speaking out loud their desires. Yet here we be, with the tip toeing and flirting around the issue. But I don't mind. This IS their relationship, defined or not. It'll just take these kids to get to what's "standard".
Ichikawa's growth from his initially presentation are leagues in-between. So many actions and words he's able to display is a fantastic sign.

As much as I don't like Nanjo-senpai, that ending was brutal. Yamada didn't just say "bye" to him but actually a definite farewell (sayônara) which people say in Japan only when it's clear they won't see the other person for a long time or never again. Yamada made it very clear at that moment that she's Ichikawas girl and out of reach for pick-up artist.
Was about to comment this. She basically told Pick-up Sempai: See you never!
And I hope we just don't see him again. Dude has no redeeming quality other than being an example of how not to treat people in general and especially women.
I wish the thad put "Farewell" instead of "bye" because Sayonara is a more definitive parting than a casual goodbye, like you intend to never see the person again.

6:27 Hilarious how Anna bounces between frozen with anxiety and boy-killer rizz-wizard this whole episode. Very realistic for her personality type, I think. She's naturally rather bold, but also dealing with unknown and scary emotions--and also is probably worried about spooking Kyotaro. Very slight spoilers here, but she likens him to a cat later on.
7:26 Man, imagine the contradictory feelings here. The "cat" bolted before she could pet it, yet it also clearly rubbed against her. Progress and regress at the same time. I'm sure she's glad that Ichikawa obviously reciprocates her feelings, at least, but in her eyes she probably just blew another chance. That's her third strike! By the rules of baseball, she's out, but hey. There are many hours in the day.
8:48 Shout out to the seiyuu for that scream! But, I'm sure precisely because of that dramatic scream, Anna entirely meant to "fail" the gamble.
9:16 I appreciate all of Yamada's little nervous tics in this scene. She's clearly so full of anxiety, poor thing.
10:20 And here we see yet another thing I love about these two: they pay so much attention to each other. Part of Anna's nerves has been because she remembered this lie from back in season 1.
11:11 Looking at it from Anna's perspective, she has fumbled this FOUR times. I think breaking the muffin in half was another little fumble out of fear of hers, though she DID make sure it made a heart. Drawing back at the last second because Kyotaro didn't immediately reach for the muffin (he was too shocked, but she might interpret that as hesitancy). To us it's all fine and adorable, but no wonder she's crying. That muffin was the last gambit, and there aren't many hours left in the day.

14:33 First season Kyotaro probably would have THOUGHT this instead of saying it. Funny how his straight-man character is expressing itself more as he grows more comfortable being around others.
