They've got songs that make goosebumps spiral down your spine, or songs that make you remember past events that have somehow never occurred. They have a sly hint of pop hidden in their music, just my opinion. Each band has its own style, and this is theirs. They have multiple songs that make the listeners cry. Some people relate to their music, and some don't. But listening to The 1975 makes you feel a certain way. That's their talent. Some people are born with great vocals but can't express emotions while singing. But this band, it's capable of doing that. Which just makes them fifty times more amazing than they already are.
Obsessed with this band. Just listen to that opening groove - it's like a world of its own, inviting you in to come and have a look around. The guitar lines are something else! While there are so many cool things about this record, one of aspect of this album that is on another level, is the production. I've been listening over, and over (and over)! Original and brilliant.

I wouldn't call them straight rock, I'd group them with bands like Imagine Dragons, The Neighbourhood, X Ambassadors etc which I'd list as anything between alternative / indie pop / pop rock. 'Sex' is their only song that really resembles rock, but they're definitely a lot more intelligent than the typical pop act. Don't get me wrong I don't think these guys count as mainstream pop but pop doesn't necessarily relate to a filter in quality. I kind of see rock as having a very certain sound that isn't something The 1975 have in their music. Just my opinion :)

I'm totally going to show my niece and hopefully my own children one day this amazing band. And they will hopefully understand what my teen life was like. They're going to go through the same ups and downs, but I REALLY want this band to be there for them, like it was for me even, and even when I'm gone one day. Those who love me and know me will always remember who I was through this band and their songs.

I'm totally going to show my niece and hopefully my own children one day this amazing band. And they will hopefully understand what my teen life was like. They're going to go through the same ups and downs, but I REALLY want this band to be there for them, like it was for me even, and even when I'm gone one day. Those who love me and know me will always remember who I was through this band and their songs.
The 1975 and this song in particular steered me in the right path when I was suffering with my addiction to herion.. Thank you for this song and the help and guidance I so desperately needed.. ;)

I think 1975 is the best band because even they are rock and the style of there song is for like 80's there is still kind of melody and beat that it makes the song feels like pop. Kind of a twist that makes the song so much perf! Gosh! I love them 😍😍

I have listened to the album full through, and this is just one that I would overlook. I have my favorites (which is nearly half of the songs) and would just listen to those. But this song is great.
